An excellent centre which is well ran and has an efficient system which allows for a smooth and organised visit. The quality is great and there are lots of interesting sites in the to explore. Even some interesting wildlife if you are lucky. Wonderful place to swim with lifeguards on duty and great facilities. You have to become a member and then pay each time you swim which helps pay for it all. You must follow all the rules, to the letter, or you will be spoken to, not necessarily politely, so not for the absent minded or, like me if you have had a stroke and get muddled. There are a lot of rules in and out of the water, most are understandable. There is a food wagon but don't rely on it, as food times are not as advertised, but usually tea and coffee are available. The website is confusing so please ask when you are there as some staff are very helpful. is deep clean and cold. Some lovely spots to spectate from. Not all of the site is wheelchair friendly. If you have a diagnosis of learning difficulty, or mental impairment it may not be the best place to swim as the staff can't take that into consideration or offer any support for you or your helper. First time at Vobster, and I really enjoyed my experience. Nice chilled atmosphere with music, organised, good facilities and nice food served. Good for an inland site. Brilliant inland facility Been here a number of times. Twice with Scuba Blue and twice with Go FreeDiving. Both were great, as was Vobster Quay. The lake has a number of underwater features to keep the experience interesting (buildings, cars, aircraft, boats, etc) and the food van they have is just the thing you need after a lengthy scuba/free dive. Great facility in which to learn or just go swimming in. Perfect centre with very attentive, caring and knowledgeable staff. Would recommend. Food is spot on too.
