Honestly, it's a lot nicer on the inside and well priced. My main issue, is that the baby swim can be absolutely rammed with people in a small pool, almost standing room only, please set a sensible limit of people rather then just letting everyone in, doubly so in these difficult times. Other facilities are quite impressive, good soft play, courts and more. Awful, awful online booking platform. Good equipment, nice pool and friendly .5/5 Council One stop shop, l assume situated in the Leisure Centre Complex.Always helpful, even if the Council charge us a pretty penny for the privilege. Friendly helpful and always seem efficient.Cant go overboard in my praise, it is the Council after all and us 'old uns' are way down on their priority .The one stop is one ray of sunshine in an ever financially grasping world. Came here for my niece 5th birthday party. My sister and I decorated the room whilst all the children were having fun in the soft play. The room was down a long corridor, which was ideal as we had music playing. The only issue was there wasn't a door, so we had to stack chairs in place of the door to stop some attempted escapes. Went here to some badminton for the first time and we really enjoyed it and the were really friendly and helpful. Will be attending again for sure! Friday Roller Disco at 6.15-7.45pm was fun. Easy to find, free parking. Well run roller disco for kids and adults with skate hire, over 4 badminton courts, plenty of chairs, lockers if needed, nice stewards, a few games and good cheesy disco music. Next to Minor Injuries Unit if it all goes pear-shaped but all the skaters were considerate/well-behaved. We came and visited the new jungle softplay today. It’s great for 4 and plus as there is so much for the children to do, the under 4’s is lovely with the sensory lights but again not a lot for the children to with. There was also no one supervising and there were issues today with teenagers sat in the under 4 section on their phones and sweating with parents not doing a lot about it. So need to be present to monitor these things as the under 4’s was swarmed by many older children today playing very roughly. So apart from that, we enjoyed our time here. Great place with hidden treasure - The Thournbury Clinic which has amazing, kind and knowledgeable therapists and they do such a good job to keep people in good form, ease the pain and relaxed. Highly recommend! I've recently started here and like the flexibility of the lanes at different time points during the week. Having visited yesterday morning, I would also like to commend the on keeping their cool when a very aggravated man saw fit to lecture the about the cleanliness of the changing (was fine when I was in there). When he asked the guy behind the desk what days he worked, he answered wednesdays, so the customer thought he was being clever and pointed out it was saturday. Then he proceeded to bring up his relative who had cancer (!) and that bringing his two young boys here could be putting his relative at risk (the two boys were stood next to him, hearing this whole thing). If this gentleman were so concerned about his vulnerable relative, he would not bring his children to a public baths, or go in water treated with chemicals. But to burden the with that notion was just disgraceful. I thought the guy behind the desk was composed throughout and very professional. I checked in with them after my swim - hopefully this is an isolated incident and they aren't exposed to this sort of behaviour regularly. pool very often dirty and with cold water, not to mention horrible smells from the changing rooms. shutting down equipment way before closing time, absolutely ridiculous! Not to mention how they are keep reducing the opening times. And be careful when cancelling your membership; I needed to go through the bank to cancel because their management was keep insisting on my renewal!! Arrived early and we were given directions of the hall for our booking and had a friendly chat with all at reception, very nice people and as we were early waiting in the hall for our opponents to arrive we were given permission to warm up on the empty court before our booking. Very friendly experience. the new soft has completely gotten rid of everything that made the toddler great. now, it’s just a small, single floored light up with about 5 blocks. i would rate that 1 star. but the leisure centre itself is fine, standard pool, nice staff. the toddler is so beyond disappointing though, when it was so good before! won’t be going to the soft again… I booked a court for badminton, was meant to book for 8pm but accidentally booked 8am. I called to try and cancel, get a refund or potentially move the booking to another date. No answer on the phone, emailed and still no response. Called again and nothing. Still have not got my money back for a time I could not attend and took all the necessary steps to try and fix! Poor customer service. Poor customer service this evening- phoned to book an activity and when I eventually got through, was told I should be booking online and that I will have no option to call in future. What’s the point in having a phone line if you can’t be bothered to actually assist your customers. In general, the availability of sessions is poor too, and part of the reason why I cancelled my membership here !! Have been going to lessons with my kids for years. They have put the price up again and we are moving so decided to switch. Very rude customer service. Cancelled on the 10th Jan told had to give 1 months calendar notice so would be paying until 27th Feb. Can understand one months but this is just money making! Asked if I could speak to someone in person and was told 'i could but it's policy so wouldn't change'. Never was I made aware it was 1 calendar months notice. Rude and unhelpful staff. The lady who actually does our lessons is lovely and I would recommend her completely. When they get to the higher lessons the standard of teaching is very poor Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
