One of the Most Revieweds in Kaltenkirchen HolstenTherme is a recommended destination for families and individuals seeking relaxation and wellness experiences. While it can get crowded and some aspects like food quality and smoking areas may be improved, the diverse saunas and pool options provide a good overall experience. Visit during weekdays or early mornings to avoid crowds. Consider bringing your own towels and robes for the sauna. Be prepared for potentially long wait times for food during peak hours. Lockers for valuables fill up quickly. "Absolutely amazing! Thank me of the top indoor/outdoor pools in Germany... We ended up staying the whole day." "The sauna area is truly outstanding – with seven themed saunas... Each one offers a unique atmosphere and a perfect way to unwind." "It’s nice but not so much of a variation. Plus people are allowed to smoke which is just disgusting for a wellness spa/therma place." "Our favourite family place. Very peaceful during the workdays. Plenty of amenities for all." "...the experience fell short in a few areas compared to the advertising. It feels a bit run-down, yet you’re expected to pay premium prices." I loved the heated salt water pool as well as some of the and infusions. Was very busy but still managed to find some space. The restaurant and seating area was not well-designed and I didn’t like sitting there. Food was okay but not great. Everything was ver nice! That is the most clean wellness center I have ever seen, of course we went on a Monday which is not so crowded but still you can see they take care of the place! The stuff was very polite and helpful and I loved how the place has so many different styles to relax! Also the price is quite fair for what you get! I am taking one star away because the programs was like everything the same ,boring and never on time! We were there sitting and waiting for the people to come slowly and make the program! Also there was no rule for staying quiet as a result some rude people to talk o laugh loud and none of the stuff do anything! Bit annoying! And one more reason that the bar was a little expensive! I mean 2,40€ for a small glass tap water is waaay too much! Above all that was a place I highly recommend and you should try Absolutely amazing! Thank me of the top indoor/outdoor pools in Germany. We went here expecting to just spend 2-3hrs. We ended up staying the whole day. Plenty of fun’s for the kids. The are phenomenal. Highly recommend. Recommend bringing your own towels and robes for the sauna. But you can also rent them for a small fee. It’s nice but not so much of a variation. Plus people are allowed to smoke which is just disgusting for a wellness spa/therma place. Even in the Q to get in people are smoking which as a parent with littles is NOT what I want to be smelling or having my littles near. Even in the resort next to the outdoor pool you can smell the smoke as people can smoke stood next to the pool. It’s nice, but expensive for food. Like everywhere. But the smoking has put me off. I would not go in summer if you want to enjoy fresh clean air whilst swimming outside. Total Relaxation at HolstenTherme – A Wellness Paradise HolstenTherme is an incredible wellness destination just outside Hamburg. From the moment you enter, you’re welcomed by a clean, peaceful, and beautifully designed space that makes it easy to relax and forget the outside world. The area is truly outstanding – with seven themed inspired by different parts of the world, from the Finnish Erdsauna to the African Kalahari and the Oriental steam bath. Each one offers a unique atmosphere and a perfect way to unwind. The swimming pools, including both indoor and outdoor areas, are warm and inviting, and the spa offers excellent massage services. There’s also a modern fitness studio and a delicious on-site restaurant with exotic dishes and a relaxing vibe. Whether you’re looking for a few hours of relaxation or a full day of wellness, HolstenTherme is absolutely worth the visit. Highly recommended – 5 stars! Our favourite family place. Very peaceful during the workdays. Plenty of amenities for all. Clean and well organised. Personnel is friendly and very helpful. External pool is amazing during night. world is a great place to relax. Strongly recommend this place for families. Couples should try world in winter. Very cool place. Loved the pools and large variety of saunas. could be also bit more diverse- with different humidities. A lot of were different just with temperature and theme. I liked it a lot i had very relaxing evening. Everything was clean and very nice. Be careful and drink enough water when you go to saunas. Always enjoyable, so many to choose from and new areas being created. It can get full on weekends & holidays (or, in this case, during a holiday week). There was a line to get in but this was the first time I’ve experienced a line. And even outside and in the saunas, it was not overcrowded. There are 7 saunas, between 45C - 100C, offering many infusions per day. There is a nice place to grab a bite in the world or several fast-food type places in the swimming area. Highly recommended! The missed flair. It was like a labyrinth with wanna be fancy topics for each sauna. Nice idea, but no spirit inside. No coldplunge, too sad. And you have to pay for everything extra. Pricy fun. Nice place to relax, especially with children. It’s very warm everywhere, which makes it quite cozy. However, the whole experience is significantly affected by the following issues: • Mediocre food at best, for premium prices. Bringing your own food is forbidden, yet you’re expected to pay 10+ euros for a Currywurst and fries (“Sparmenü”). I wouldn’t complain if the food quality and taste were acceptable. • Changing is challenging. There are very few changing rooms, which are not practical for families. As a result, you may end up having to change in the open areas. • Too few lockers for valuables. By noon, I found all of them already occupied. Overall, I found that the experience fell short in a few areas compared to the advertising. It feels a bit run-down, yet you’re expected to pay premium prices. Around 100€ per day for two adults and two kids is typical. Probably the best spa resort for families with small children. Suggested to come at the opening hours, tends to get very full during midday. Also, it is advised to order lunch before 12:00, because the wait times get long. Otherwise top when it comes up cleanliness and service.
