It looks good, the atmosphere was good, the staff polite and friendly, but if I'm honest the food was only ok for the price. I have eaten much better for less and left feeling that I had paid for the restaurant not the food. Still happy to recommend and would probably go back again if in the area, but with lower expectations than I had on this visit. Excellent food. We had truffle gnocchi, shrimp with foccacia and a burger. Food was excellent! Room is very clean and nice. We must come second time, even just to have a dinner. This has been the best tasting restaurant in the area since it was built few years back. Especially their meats very tender and flavorful, modern grilling methods. Plus the service staff was very helpful. We went to Restaurant Pod Herbami for lunch this afternoon. Unfortunately, we left the restaurant very disappointed and upset. The main courses were, unfortunately, inedible! I had the chicken, and my wife had the fish. The chicken was sous-vide cooked!!! As a chef myself, I can only say that the result of this cooking method for chicken is catastrophic. It tastes like it's been cooked and reheated again! The fish was also technically improperly cooked, making it inedible. We sent the food back. Now comes the part where the service can shine and still satisfy the guest (in this case, us). Quite the opposite happened – instead of an apology or appropriate compensation, we were charged the full price for the main courses. Even after inquiring, with the confirmation of the management, no discount was granted despite promptly returning the dishes after tasting. As guests working in the hospitality industry, we strongly advise against visiting this establishment. Staff shortages should be addressed differently than pre-cooking dishes sous-vide. In fairness, we must add that the chicken soup and Pierogi ruskie as appetizers were excellent.
