Enchanted Rock State Natural Area

Enchanted Rock is a rewarding destination for those prepared for a moderately challenging hike and Texas weather. Plan ahead with reservations and plenty of water, and aim for early morning or late afternoon visits to avoid the heat and crowds. Reservations are required and can be made online. The summit hike is short but steep and exposed. Bring plenty of water and wear appropriate footwear. Early mornings are ideal to avoid crowds and heat.
