Windy in the afternoon, and sun is going down behind the hill A small town with a special air, with narrow streets, with small souvenir shops, with a beautiful harbor surrounded by taverns where you can relax sipping a frappe and letting your eyes and thoughts fly freely! We had a nice walk around the Vasiliki Harbour with Very cosy traditional tavernas and bars with seaview, admired the private boats, catamarans and windsurfers enjoying the perfect waves very well known in the area. One of my favourite places on Lefkada. The little harbour is surrounded by eateries with a selection of food options to suit most palettes. There is a pebbly area, with some sand for the younger ones, and you can watch the windsurfers and boats out in the bay. The sea is crystal clear and calm when you want to cool down. In town there are a few shops selling tourist 'tat' but also some selling unusual items. Watch out for the prices though as it can work out expensive. Beautiful small town. Local is not good for families, more for surfers. Good starting point for visiting beaches of Lefkada. Nice walkway by the beach. There are a lot of good tavernas with excellent food.
