Schöne Venezianische Festung We've been to a lot of fortresses in Greece. This one is very well organized. Only 3€ with the option to buy a 3-year-old information booklet about the history. Nice clean, handicap size, flushing, toilet with nice sink, running water & soap. Beautiful of the sea & wonderful lighthouse. It was so fun to scamper around exploring the nooks and crannies. Very beautiful for its history, restoration and location. It is located right at the entrance to the island of Lefkada. Its restoration was magnificent and the that is inside is very well made. The price nowadays is 5€ per person. Impressive fortress with wonderful on the surroundings. Quiet. Absolutely worth visiting Very interesting to the well documented as you walk round. Great from all sides. One problem, we were bitten by the incognito mosquitoes! Amazing castle/fortification with a great exposition explaining the whole of Lefkada. You can roam along the walls and go into a tiny church as well. Would recommend a if in the neighbourhood! The Castle has been renovated recently and now it's a beautiful travel to the past of the island of Lefkada or ex Santa Maura! Nothing special to be honest. There’s a small church and a with information about the castle inside but I guess it’s better to go there with a guide because on its own the castle is… well, ruins, just like many other castles like this. Tickets 5€ A piece of real — the fortress is amazing. There’s a restored chapel, a small (note: only open until 3:30 PM), and an interactive video tour inside the old armory. The complex is quite large, with stunning over the port. It’s a shame it’s not better maintained, but still very much worth a visit. Entrance is €5 for adults, children go in for free. If you Lefkada, it worth it to the fort. The view is beautiful. And the is well maintained. 3 euro price is not much Groot complex met rijke geschiedenis. Large historic on the way to Lefkada, only 2e to enter. Plenty of good and a small museum. I went as part of an island tour so had a guide with us who explained a lot of the and sights to see. There are a few signs around but not many and the is small which is a surprise as you’d expect there to be a few more bits to see with the there. I don’t think I’d have gotten as much out of it without our guide who was with us already so that’s why it loses a star still closed, and in october it is musquito infested. Edit below: Thank you for the response regarding opening times. Maybe it's a good idea to add this or mention this clearly upon the visit? Well worth a visit. And only €5. The internal explains the 800+ very well and it’s amazing how many times the has changed “owners”. Good from te ramparts of Lefkada town and across to Preveza. Worth the walk and the cost. Currently being worked on with pathways created and prevention of it crumbling away which is great. Large site with great and history. 2€ entry but day we went it was a free entry day. Would recommend a and to the other castle along the same road. Open from 8am to 7pm except Tuesdays. The fortress is interesting and can be explored. There is an entrance fee, and you receive a brochure with information about the fortress. It's a pleasant stroll out along the yacht lined spit of land from the town. Skip across the pedestrian friendly floating bridge and the entrance with information, tickets and toilets awaits. €5, kids free. It's a large with jailhouse, monks cells, small and a tiny church still used for weddings. You can clamber along the cannon lined walls with breathtaking views. A lighthouse come beacon also marks A Corner of a Forgien Field , a lonely grave of a British governer. You may want to tip your hat, he's along way from home. Timetable for the bridge oppening times is online and is well worth seeing. Across the road is a tree covered truck stop for a cooling beer. Great afternoon. Its big and interesting, ticket price is low, very nice place to explore Επίσης κ το κάστρο του Γρίβα από απέναντι αξίζει Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
