The village, accessible only by a single road and followed by a return trip, is Liechtenstein's winter paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. We visited in late summer, so hiking was the only option. The place is interesting, with several hotels and holiday cottages, and its geographical location is fantastic in a picturesque mountain valley. The access road itself is unforgettable. Fine place for skiing and snowboarding. A nice bunny slope that runs gently Parallel to the road and lifts up to the top nearby. There are black red and blue runs along with sledding and cross country skiing areas and a park with a lift for beginners with a a magic carpet and slalom. There is a great ski school with private and group lessons available and a ski shop for rentals. Carefu driving required on snowy cold days as the roads up the mountain can be tricky so leave a lot of space for cars and drivers that may need it to start to skid or slide. Malbun is a wonderful place for hiking in summer and skiing with your family, especially those with kids, in winter. Never too crowded. Down the road in Steg there are extensive, well-maintained x-country trails. My favorite ski resort in the world. So much fun on every slope, I just love releasing all the speed. Visited back in 2016. As someone being from Ireland and not too used to ski resorts this was one of the best ski resorts I've ever been too. Beautiful scenery and landscapes. Challenging slopes for all levels. Nice choice of cafe's, bars and restaurants. Would love to go back. Great for people who want and can ski but jot much for those who can't Comfortable and familyfriendly.not crowdy and also good for first ski steps. Beautiful surroundings.you can ski, sledge, wander and just sit and drink lumumba, yummy.prices are not that high compared to those in € in Austria that I experienced. People are helpful and careful. No crazy speeding. Lots of kids learning. The atmosphere is really relaxed. We brought the kids here to learn to ski - ages 3, 7, and 9. They loved it! Malbi Park offers a great progression for first timers.
