After placing our order, the person who served us—who we later learned was the owner’s son—struck up a friendly conversation. When the arrived, his son told him we were visitors from Belgium. He kindly asked if he could join us at our table, and we gladly accepted. Despite the language barrier, we had a heartfelt exchange about family and origins. They generously offered us tea and Turkish baklava, and although we declined the dessert for dietary reasons, their gesture deeply touched us. At the end of the meal, the refused to let us pay, insisting we were their honored guests. We were overwhelmed by their hospitality—not because of the free meal, but because of the genuine respect and warmth they showed us. I’ll always remember this moment.
