The Glass Factory

Boda Glasbruk, Sweden Art center

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Certainly a must for the lovers of glassware. Pieces mainly modern and prices vary from very cheap to 5000 Euro + pieces, bit nothing earth shattering in terms of real art. It was a good time spent with kids. They have a small treasure hunt for the kids. Unfortunately the blowing hot area was not functional that day, good to check before. Great experience! We loved watching the artists work and greatly enjoyed the museum and engraving our own glasses. Perfect with kids! Pure craft and inspired design Boda is one of the bigger factories and doesn't have that old-world feel to it. Interesting to see art objects being hand-made. Large exhibition across several rooms. The blowing was really fascinating to watch, and the museum exhibits were well curated. The staff were friendly. But the café did not have much food, so we had to drive about 10 minutes down the road to get lunch. Then when we came back to do the engraving, it was closed, though they had told us it would still be open when we returned. They said it would re-open about 30 minutes later, but by that point it was far too late for us to stay. That was quite disappointing. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable experience. Interesting history. The best was being able to see the progress when an artist created new piece of art in front of your eyes. Nice personal. For anyone who likes seeing art being created, this is THE place to come. The skilled craftspeople blowing and creating the beautiful art that is the essence of this part of Sweden that is called "the Kingdom" is mesmerizing. Go see it in person!
