Took a walk down from the parador where we are staying tonight. Lovely day, lovely walk and a wonderful cold beer at one of the many cafe/bars that surround the square. The small town of Almagro has a magnificent main square. Very charming plaza mayor at Almagro. We had a very nice lunch and were surprised to get a free tapa as well ! Lovely old plaza, all color cordinated and full of restaurants and tourist shops. Fairly quién when we were there in June Nice place, with so much history and a perfect spot for seat out and enjoy the yummy gastronomic alternatives at the local restaurants. Plaza Mayor is very special as it was designed by a hollandaise architect. Different from any other towns in Spain. Corral De las comedias is like to attend the Globe theatre, or to be in the story of Captain Alatriste :) The cheese, the Almagro eggplant and sweets (El Cateto) were delicious! And the 3 restaurants we tried for dinner and another one for breakfast, just on tha Plaza Mayor. It doesn't allow me to upload the pics, but it is an amazing place!!! Interesting place to watch people and experience the local culture.
