They kindly joined us in English and had their menu in English as well as German. The region has lots of wonderful crusty bread, and this is no exception, but they serve it with a whipped herb and tomato butter that takes it to a new level. We split the Baked Goat Cheese with mixed greens salad and it was really good. There was just the right amount of strawberry vinaigrette to accent the salad without drowning out the greens. The baked goat cheese was flavorful without being overpowering and just melted in my mouth. Veal Cordon Blue. Veal cutlet wrapped around ham and cheese. Then battered and deep fried in the Schnitzel style to a golden brown. They wrapped cheese cloth around the lemon to prevent pulp or seeds getting on the crust as the juice is squeezed on. The first cut allows the molten cheese to flow out, but it immediately cools enough to solidify and not make a mess of the plate. Honestly it would have been delicious just like that. However, they offer multiple sauces and I couldn’t pass on the berry sauce which provided another dimension to it. The vegetables, while really meant as garnish I suspect, were also perfectly cooked to my taste not over done to mush or under done to crunch, just a texture in the mouth. And nearly an after thought, the fries were beautifully crispy and salty to where they were easy to eat all by themselves, but dipped in the house BBQ were delightful. My wife had the Pan Fried Loin of Lamb. She is not normally a fan of lamb, but it was highly recommended and if she had not ordered it I would have. She is also not normally the plate cleaner that I am, but it was so good she left not a speck of meat, potatoes or green beans behind. She noted that while she really likes mashed potatoes that she normally has to add lots of butter to them, but these were flavorful enough to stand as served. “World famous apple pie”. Apparently the house specialty dessert. It was a good apple pie that clearly has more effort put into it than many. The apples were very thinly sliced so that they were almost like layers in a croissant and the crust was one of the lightest and flakiest that I have had. However unless you are a real fan of apple pie, I still wouldn’t recommend it. Not as much cinnamon or sugar as I would prefer, but a nice presentation of apples. She also did the Warm Chocolate Cake with Liquid Core, which is baked to order and was rich and wonderful as you would expect a chocolate dessert in this region to be. They also had a selection of very nice and unique cocktails. Who would have thought that I needed to find a source for “Sea Buckthorn Liqueur”? But after tasting their blend of this and prosecco, I have something new to add to my home shelf. And finally let’s discuss location. The is a good 15-20 minutes drive from the Liechtenstein Center in Vaduz. And I admit that when my wife suggested it, I really just wanted to pick another in Vaduz. We waited a long time just to get the menu, and even then, only received half of it. When I asked (politely) if they had oat milk for the cappuccino, the response was a snarky “Why would we have oat milk??
