You get a sunbed with the purchase of food or drink which isn't a bad deal. The water is very nice though so it was good enough for me. The area by the main road and is very run down, untidy and litter strewn and in October 2021, desolate. But the old village has character, accommodation is cheap, the locals are super friendly and you can do a great, fairly strenuous walk to the top of the mountain from here. Sturdy walking boots essential. Good beach, there are free awnings. If there are not many people, the water will be clear. But I advise to walk further in the direction of Posidonia restaurant, there are two more piers and between them cool beach, often there are not many people. Lovely hotel. Not as spectacular as the west side beaches but it's perfect for a relaxing time and for children. There is almost no sand, but the pebbles are really small and they are comfortable to walk on. The water is crystal clear and warm, my little daughter (1 and a half years old) had a really great time and enjoyed the water and the beach. There are lots of markets around and tavernas, and there is a place for watersports which I highly recommend.
