I'm not sure how authentic it is. A traditional corfiot village, which is a bit of a theme park which at the far side it is set up for large-scale celebrations such as weddings etc. Entry is a little steep at 10 euro but at least you get a in the restraunt if you show your the local gingerbread was great. Some authentic pieces in the buildings and a winery. The Azamara Azamezing event was truly amazing. Definitely not be be missed. The staff were not only friendly but also highly professional. The selection of drinks and bites was impressive. The dance performance was stunning, and the sunset complemented the beautiful landscape perfectly. I would have loved more information about the filming locations for the James Bond movie or maybe even some clips/ poster scenes of the actual location. Overall the experience was wonderful. Highly recommend. Enchanting and quaint. Some aspects are quite impressive, although a little more information to read would be a touch regarding the history etc. Really good hospitality from the bar staff and, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary within the cost of 10€. The has many artifacts and historical tools etc. Dinner is available if pre-booked 24hours in advance as a set menu-family style offering. Well worth a visit, especially if you're a fan of The Durrells TV series!... twin that up with a visit to the house used in the same show, down the hill in Kontokali and you'll be delighted! Hidden gem! This is an amazing place where you can go back in time. Nicely maintained. Bit pricey, but "kafeteria" included in fee. Very quiet place. museum. Use the toilets ;) The 20€per person fee is a deterrent and we expect more for this money. Also no clarity as to what this can be used to. It says a credit towards in a cafe. In terms of actual place there is a olive press room and mini winery and a small Museum. The rest is an event space and few tourist souvenir shop . Although we were nit very impressed. The parking lot in front was empty. Absolutely a must-see place in Corfu. A folklore in a form of w whole mini-town, kept in the old Corfu style. Great and unique atmosphere. Visited many popular places in Corfu, but it was the only one that gave the vibe from Durrel’s story. Very "village". Took me by surprise. I would recommend seeing this. You should however be able to climb some stairs. Large parking just at the main entrance. If you have plenty of time in Korfu try to squeeze in this site. If you have watched the TV series Durrell's, you will find some spots you might remember from a movie, like the post office, police detaining cell or taverna, where all of your favourite actors have acted in scenes. You get a complimentary in taverna (they only serve drinks here, so you won't be able to dine here, unfortunately) with your entry ticket. Since grounds are operated by a hotel chain, tourists are flocking with buses, which gather them from a hotel, meaning at some time there might be many people at once. Feel free to discover, you're on a movie set! Really historical village. You pay 10€ for the but these are converted into drinks in the bar of the village. Little disadvantage : there's not much explanation about the history of the village, but still the is really nice! It’s not just a mock with a museum, they also have a restaurant (dinner only, food is 4 but the setting is 5), their own vineyards, herb garden, and live music in the evening. Well worth a visit. We went here as we heard it was used to film The Durrells and other shows. Interesting with showing a lot about past life in Corfu. The is very pretty and pleasant to walk through, or sit and relax. The tickets are €10 pp, which includes a in the cafe. The cafe is a missed opportunity as it only served drinks, and the coffee was very poor. Information on the was lacking and only we had read about the shows filmed there, we did not see any signs about any of that. Overall, place to spend an hour Good place to spend 1-2 hours and take a pause with a good coffee. It is an old (i am guessing abondend village) where you can see how to old villages in Corfu looked like. It costs 20 euro per person but you can later claim it at the coffee shop. Here you can find an old church, a and you can enter some of the buildings υπέροχο μέρος.. το χωριό και το μουσείο ειναι φανταστικό προσεγμένο και αξίζει μια επίσκεψη. ενα καφεδάκι στο καφενείο είναι οτι πρέπει για κλείσιμο. Like going back in time, old houses reflect a from 200 years ago, interesting and an experience to see how life was before we got phones, electricity, Ipads....The entry price is 10 € per adult, 5€ for children, but includes a in the taverna, so in effect only cost 3 of us 12€ to enter. If you want an escape from the beach, go here or similarly the of Sinarades. Both are where the Durrells was filmed, and you can see why. Both beautiful settings. So we came here having read it was a place where they had filmed the Durrells TV show, you walk in to a sign that says pay €20 euros to explore at your own leisure and you get a single from the on site restaurant- talking to the staff this isn’t quite accurate. You get €20 credit to use in the on site restaurant and on the tables there is a menu that you can redeem this credit against. The place itself doesn’t have much going on so it definitely is more of an early afternoon trip to escape the sun - there are some interesting parts and the vineyard is lovely to walk around - but the €20 seems steep until you realise it can be redeemed in the restaurant. We had an excursion to the through our hotel. It was 20 euros p/p including a tour, travel to and from, and a and some llokuma. We went on a cloudy rainy day but you could still see the beauty of the village. The tour guide was fantastic. Would recommend for a short excursion. Beautiful place. It looks like a village. Drinks are included in the price of the ticket. Great for families with children. Lovely and peaceful place to wander around, exploring examples of traditional Corfu architecture, farm machinery and a of historical artefacts. As others have said, the website is a bit vague about what your €20 p. person fee gives you. We were able to redeem it against a (beer, coffee, soft drink) and a snack (cheese and meat sandwich or Greek yoghurt with fruit). This is an amazing place with a wide range of buildings modelled on traditional Corfu architecture. It's got a museum, a few shops and a bar and restaurant. The fee is 10 euros each for adults, but you do get a free at the bar included with your ticket. Great food and most of the staff were friendly. There was a lady waiter, forgot her name, she was amazing. Wished I had more cash to tip her. She was looked after us on our anniversary. While the history of the was interesting, there was no staff to show you around or do demonstrations. I was under the impression it would have reenactments. It seems like a place to have an event like a wedding. Coffee and drinks were included in our ticket. Spent a few hours here ..it was like stepping back in time ..the is amazing. £20 euro to enter but you get a free cafe if you wish.. the museme was great 👍 not far from Corfu old town .
