It's kind of too much of a big city bakery style about the cakes for my personal taste but they never disappoint. The prices are a bit hefty to bare in mind but they do serve it with not much do complain about, service is great, environment is lovely both inside and out, the tea selection is very recommendable so it is worth going here ones in a while. Great place with tasty pastries, good coffee, friendly service and a great view at the outdoor tables. Definitely worth visiting. A nice place for a coffee and or a bite to eat a bit too pricey. However we enjoyed our coffee and chai latte in the afternoon sun with a perfect view of the Citadell and surrounding grounds. Very nice place, Very, Very, Very good food, spectacular desserts... Delicious... A place to exalt the senses... Brilliant place. Had a delicious freshly made prawn sandwich with what looked and tasted like freshly peeled prawns. Followed by what seemed like a homemade consisting of a sponge base, a crème middle and whipped cream top. All topped with fresh strawberries and raspberries. So if you’ve had a walk around the castle (recommended) then finish it off with a stop at Konditori Citadellet - you won’t regret it. Good selection of different baguettes, sandwiches and baked goods. Very pleasant seating both inside and outside. Pricing could however be better, €3 for a standard black cup of coffee is too steep of a markup. When I asked for a to go cup instead of a smaller ceramic cup i was told that I would not be allowed to consume the beverage in outdoor seating and would have to leave the premises to consume it. Which was a rather unusual rule for a cafe with outdoor seating. Fantastic little cafe serving their own pastry as well as home made ice cream and in-house rosted coffee. I even take the left over (basically the entire cake) to work thinking maybe it was our taste buds and nobody liked or wanted more after tasting. It was a chocolate which we ordered ahead of time and it was rock hard, like been a display for weeks. Even knife had hard time cutting thru. I usually never leave negative reviews but this really left my husband upset considering it ruined the bday. Definitely waste of 600kr.
