Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Great route setting, nice staff. Unfortunately they don't rent rope or chalk, so not ideal for travellers. Limited top rope and auto belay options. This gym means serious bussiness. I had tried 10+ different gyms in 5 different countries and until now, this is definately among the top 3. It not be the largest or tallest (if not mistaken the tallest route is 17m) but sure thing the total mix of their offer is great. I love the variaty of problems on the boulder section, the integrated strength gym area, the autobelays looks really good tho I couldn't observe any route higher than a 6+ or 7... thats more for the assisted area. Now, let's go to services and pricing. Well, this the 1st time I can't rent a harness, I leaved mine back at home, because space on the luggage (I don't live in this country) and I was a bit surprised...that's why I mentioned that the autobelay "looked nice" because unfortunately I couldn't rent one, they don't offer this so beware if you go without yours... which sucks a lot considering the afluent of turists in Milan that sometimes just want to enjoy a different experience in long trips and will not be caring their harness everywhere. Now on the good side, the prices are amazing, they may look to much if you come less than 1 hour as other places charge by time consumed but here you just pay and enjoy as much as you can...awesome!!! All areas are well cleaned, bathrooms pretty cool tho if want a locker you have to pay extra, the bar has delicious beer. My only bad experience here, aside of lacking harness to rent, is that there is a lot of people that you can tell have no education on gym rules, it happend to me that several times that I was bouldering and some idiots arrived and were doing the same under me or passed me transversally, a lot of kids running all over the place and no written rules or someone to enforce them anywere around. I came on a sunday so maybe during the week this is different. Front desk amazing attitude!! Generally speaking I think is a really great place overall Urban Wall in one of the best gyms I’ve ever been for several reasons. First, the gym is very professional and all the are set in a meaningful way (good for the routesetters). Besides the gym has a small boulder section, every route is very challenging and interesting. There is a big variety and huge amount of sport in Urban Wall in a big range of grades: 5a_8b or more. Additionally, there is a speed wall in the gym and anything you need to do physical exercises related to climbing. Autobelay is also available. Urban wall isn’t only a rock gym, it’s a multifunctional space with a shop and a bar. The entrance fee for the first time it is 10 EUR and you pay this only for registration. Great gym located right outside Milan. The were well labeled, there's plenty of space, and it's very affordable. The bouldering had a very diverse set of for children to experienced adults. There was also a training for conditioning, an with free weights, and a yoga area. Outside of direct climbing, there is a fairly well stocked store (unfortunately closed Sunday, which is when I visited), and a bar with snacks, beer, and Café. As an aside, it looks to be an old factory of some sort, there are several old overhead gantry cranes inside. Pretty cool. Warning for travelers, although there are some auto belays and top rope areas, the majority of the gym is for lead climbing. The gym does not rent ropes or harness for liability reasons, only shoes. This was the first gym in my life. Even though it is indoors, its height of 19 meters is far above other gyms. The inside of the gym is sleek and sophisticated. I would also like to give high marks to the trained and friendly staff. Perfect place to feel strong until a 10-year-old flashes your project! Great vibes, awesome routes, and just the right mix of chalk dust and humility. Highly recommend for climbers and ego checkers alike! Today I show up at Urban Wall and it turns out there is some corporate event, gym is closed, people inside walking around in street clothes staring at holds as if in a museum and catering waiting to be served. Very eerie vibes. I tell them I didn't get any info about gym being closed. The guy is super nice and apologetic. I tell him is more important than any corporate event. In fact that's where I go to maintain my sanity after spending my days in a corporate. Protect our gyms! Protect our sanity! The gym and the quality of is fairly amazing, one of the best I have ever seen. The customer service, for the greater part seems absent. Food and drinks are overpriced, and beer is served consistently with more foam than body, making them below the the 0.2cl and 0.4cl quantity you pay for. To compensate for their increasing negative reviews, they now offer free coffee to anyone who gives a 5-star review of this place, which is as unfair/unethical/illegal as far as feedbacks go. Pretty embarrassing.
