Az óvodamúzeum 1990-ben Nyíregyházán nyílt meg Harcsa Tibornénak köszönhetően. Majd 1995-ben került mostani helyére Brunszvik Teréz, a magyar óvodaalapító tiszteletére. (1962-ben nyílt már a helyi óvodában egy hasonló kiállítás, ami nem sokáig élt). A kiállítás három részből áll: a valamikori öreg óvodaépületben a Brunszvik család által készített festmények, rajzok láthatók, korabeli bútorokkal (érdekesség az épület vége, ami kápolna volt az óvoda idejében, köszönhető az apáca nevelőknek), másrészt az új épület földszintjén óvodatörténeti kiállítás látható 1828-tól az 50-es évekig (érdekesség a kiállított 1891. évi törvény a kisdedóvásról, mely szerint: idézet: “5. Beteg, vagy hülye gyereket a kisdedóvodába felvenni tiltva van - egy kicsit más volt akkoriban a nyelvezet), harmadrészt az emeleten az óvodapedagógus képzésről láthatunk kiállítást (érdekesség egy fénykép a falon a tanulókról 1868-ból, a hol a 30 tanulóból csak 3 a hölgy, akkoriban még óvóbácsik voltak inkább) Érdekes időutazás a kiállítás. A múzeumban dolgozó úr nagyon kedves volt és profi áttekintést adott. An interesting place, worth visiting when you are around the park anyway. Thought-provoking little museum Super place. Well worth a visit, plus there are the guide books available in different languages including Hungarian, English, French, etc. Nagyon érdekes és jól berendezett múzeum!😊 Nagyon jó látni, hogy milyen volt régen az óvoda, mivel játszottak a gyermekek, milyen oktatást kaptak. A kiállitásnak van interaktiv része is, amit a gyerekek nagyon élveztek még pluszban😊 3 órát töltöttünk ott😝 nagyon ajánlom! Érdekes kis múzeum. Érdemes beugrani és megnézni.
