Wir können verstehen dass wenn man nicht reserviert hat kein Platz mehr da ist aber das warten wenn drei Personen mit Geschirr etc . beschäftigt sind man immer wieder durchlaufen musste fanden wir nicht so glücklich. It's very much a converted monastery but still has monks and nuns. So I think they have training there. Certainly very peaceful. Oh and very comfortable beds. No television. So if your into mindfulness, or escaping a mental breakdown, book yourself in here for a week ;) Nice menu, and tasty food. We had breakfast and dinner there, both worth trying. Evening service was also very nice and attentive, while the morning one was rushed. Tables and chairs looked more like they were meant for offices, - that had a bit of a dissonance, as there is such a beautiful wooden furniture everywhere else. The organ sounds really nice and has a long tradition. People were kind and helpful. I was at the hotel for two days and I found the food very good. The cordon Bleu was great and the soups also. Maybe they should improve the vegetarian options but some of them were good. I don't know the price though because my company paid for the stay. Excellent combination of local cuisine and locally brewed beer. Imo, go for the amber ;) the brewery which makes the beer is right next door, so if you liked the beer, visiting the brewery and its little shop is worth it :) Ich war jetzt innerhalb von 2 Monaten zwei Mal zum Essen im Restaurant Kloster Fischingen, welches Teil vom Hotel ist. Meine Rezension betrifft meine beiden Besuche. Service; gut, aufmerksam, freundlich, hilfsbereit bei der Auswahl von Essen und Weinen, top. Lernende machen einen Top Job. Gratuliere den Ausbildnern. Essen; es gibt jeweils 2 Tagesmenues sowie eine à la carte Karte. Die Vorspeisen excellent (Tartar, Vitello Forello). Beides mal als zweiter Gang Salat bestellt. Vorspeise und Salat schön angerichtet, vielseitig, generell werden alte unbekannte Gemüsesorten verwendet, welche Freude bereiten. Der Hauptgang ist schön angerichtet. Das Thurgauer Geschnetzelte fein abgeschmeckt. Die Rehschnitzel lecker (ein bisschen mehr rosa wäre gut), Chnöpfli und Gemüse fein auf den Punkt. Die Weinkarte beinhaltet viele lokale Schweizer Weine. Die Flaschenpreise sind m.M. moderat. Die Preise für Offenweine würde ich eher nach unten korrigieren. Résumé; jederzeit zu empfehlen. Family friendly. My review goes mainly for those who are concerned about joining company or family/friends events due to food restrictions. During my stay at the hotel, service was exceptional and I could enjoy the two days without worrying about food. The meals were always preparing following my needs. The atmosphere is also very good with a wonderful mix of modern and old decoration to the detail.
