A lovely place but unfortunately it is now closed and is looking very neglected. This could be such an amazing tourist attraction. The views from the top of the surrounding countryside and over Mercia city are amazing. It's closed, but still worth to see . Really nice hike up to here, not too hard. A beginner could definitely do this! It is also not fair from the bus station and so about a 20 minute bus drive from murcia centre. I very much recommend! It’s free to! Inspiring. Car parking close by was not easy. Lovely views from distance. Nice walk, beautiful views of the city. Closed the day we visited Están reformándolo!! Pero será la mejor atracción de Murcia pronto!!! El sitio es emblemático. The Argar culture had very peculiar funerary rites and customs. They often buried their fellow human beings beneath the floor and structures of their own homes, placed in urns, cists, and large ceramic vessels, sometimes enclosing several limbs in a single piece. To do so, they flexed their limbs, as is the case in two of the Monteagudo burials. The human remains were accompanied by various objects determined by the social class of the deceased: weapons, jewelry, awls, or even nothing at all in the case of slaves or servants. Very beautiful and pretty view of the city From the outside, this is a wonderful place and is somewhat reminiscent of the statue of Christ in Brazil, but the entrance to the mountain is closed. We climbed to the foot and had to turn around, because there was no passage and no signs or explanation tables. Lovely statue but they seem to have just let it go to ruin. Can only get so far up and the gate is permanently locked and over run with graffiti. Well worth a visit ! Shame that it is no longer open to the public. I spent more than a hours to get up there unfortunately but it was closed there is no intention of closer but I did consoled myself by doing a little exercise for myself. It's possible to drive most of the way up then a short push to the top. An impressive statue and can be seen from afar. Ibm Mardanis founded a majestic fortress when the Moors inhabited Murcia. They implemented engineering advances like the irrigation system and produced a new landscape that can still be admired nowadays. You can learn all this and much more in the study center underneath the castle. Decent view but lots trash all around and broken information signs It's alright for a short stay, we cycled there and spend about 30 minutes walking around it. Unfortunately you can't walk to the top, only halfway.
