Super and fun, yet modest and accommodating, but in all aspects very professional and knowledgeable. We had some fantastic day dives — but also the night dives must not be missed. Everyone there truly prefers to be under water than above, meaning no is ended because of time, but only because of air (and then only after the guides have shared their air where needed in order to extend the for everyone). Out of 12 dives with them, my *shortest* was 68min (the longest over 2h). Our kids, aged 15 and 16, took the advanced course, and we couldn’t be happier with the level of care and professionalism they received. From the start, the staff were extremely welcoming and polite. There were no hidden costs, everything was clearly explained, and the service was excellent throughout. The instructors are truly passionate about what they do. They provided thorough briefings before and after each dive, making sure the kids understood not only the technical aspects of but also a lot about the local marine life. We felt confident and comfortable knowing our kids were in good hands—they were well looked after the entire time. The went above and beyond to make the both safe and fun. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of hotels and restaurants nearby. A great spot for families staying in Bali. Our Luis adapted his teaching style to address our learning needs and helped us to reach the program objectives and make us better divers. L’équipe dans son ensemble est très sympathique, mais malheureusement, notre expérience a été grandement ternie par le comportement de l’un des instructeurs. Dès le début, il a manqué de patience m’a mal parlé , sans raison apparente. La communication lui était difficile, et cela a créé un climat de stress pour nous deux. C’était ma deuxième plongée. J’ai du remonter rapidement à la surface à cause d'un problème inconnu. L'instructeur est venu m’aider , mais encore une fois, la communication était mauvaise et m’a demandé de redescendre rapidement malgré mes douleurs aux oreilles. Il a même appuyé plusieurs fois sur mon masque pour que je descende plus vite, ce qui a augmenté la pression sur mes oreilles de manière insupportable. Au final, cette expérience a été très décevante pour nous. J’ai jamais eu de problèmes de mer auparavant, ni malade après la plongée. Nous comprenons que le métier d’instructeur peut être difficile, mais il est essentiel d’avoir de la patience et une bonne communication, surtout dans une activité où la sécurité et le confort des participants sont primordiaux. De plus, nous étions quatre pour un seul instructeur, alors que le site internet indiquait un ratio de un pour deux, ce qui a ajouté à notre frustration. Bien que l’ensemble du service soit de qualité, l’attitude de cet instructeur a gâché notre expérience. J’ai contacté l’équipe, mais la réponse que j’ai reçue m’a encore plus déçu : on m’a accusé d’être raciste, ce qui est totalement faux et extrêmement blessant. Je ne cherche qu’à être traité respect et à recevoir un service professionnel, ce qui est le minimum attendu lorsque l’on paie pour une activité comme la plongée sous-marine Shortly after our OWD-Certificate we made two wonderful dives with the Hippocampus center in Bali. The was great - very and professional and the equipment was of very high quality. Now we are definitely hooked to diving! My only regret is not making even more dives and especially the night dive. It was only my second diving, and my first in Egypt was a little rough, but this one was absolutely perfect. I want to give a special thanks to our instructor, Luis Silva. He was so calm and and made sure our group was comfortable. He showed us all kinds of cool fish that we would have missed on our own. Yesterday, my first time, was so good and I had so much fun that I had to come again. I think I found my new hobby! The instructors Luis and Angelos are very patient and kind. They explain well, are calm, and they make you fall in love with the sport. I am very lucky to have met them and to have been taught by them. The lady helping me with my appointment (apologies!, forgot your name) was very welcoming and kind too! I can’t wait to come again! Ich war schon in vielen Tauchbasen tauchen, Hippocampos ist mit Abstand die beste. Das liebt das Tauchen und das Meer. In kleinen Gruppen wird so lange wie möglich (unter Beachtung der Sicherheitsreserve) getaucht. Ich bekam eine 15 Liter Flasche und wir waren immer ca. 1,5 Stunden unter Wasser. Angelos zeigte und erklärte alles, was wir unter Wasser sahen. Fische, Anemonen, historische Funde usw. Die Zeit verging wie im Flug. Nach dem Tauchgang gab es eine Ausführliche Besprechung zum gesehenen. Das ganz im schattigen Garten, bei einem Getränk nach Wahl. Selbst die eigene Tauchausrüstung wurde vom gereinigt. Ich war zum zweiten Mal hier, und werde sicher wieder hier her kommen zum tauchen. Alles familiär, ohne Stress, Hektik oder Profitgier. A special thanks to our instructor, Luís, who couldn’t have been better. He explained everything thoroughly, took excellent care of us, and always made sure we were comfortable and safe. He patiently taught us all the basics, and once we descended into the water, the became truly magical. He guided us around, showing us the underwater beauty and pointing out fascinating sea life. They are all very personable and there is a strong sense of a 'family' atmosphere, which makes you feel instantly welcome and as though you are one of them, not just a customer. A long ago I nearly drowned swimming out at sea, and as a result hadn't entered the water for a decade until twelve months ago. Completing my Open Water course was a huge challenge for me and Luis knew this, and I could not have had a better to help me through. He has a wealth of and teaching experience, this was evident from the beginning. His knowledge of both the physical and technical aspects of is extensive, along with a vast and passionate knowledge for all of the amazing marine life he was so keen to help my partner and I discover. There were elements of this course I personally found very challenging, but with Luis' guidance and patience I felt very safe putting my trust in him to help me through the difficult parts, enabling me to achieve something I never thought I would be capable of. My partner and I couldn't have had a better at Hippocampos. We have made memories and friendships which we feel will last a lifetime, and have already said we cannot wait to return.
