Relatively underwhelming, but of course of some significance. It looked unloved and rather lonely at its cliff top home, but glad I have seen it It is free to see, but at Greenwich it costs money ! We used to go to Greenwich Observatory so this was an interesting monument to stop at as we were in the area. A slightly faded monument in a location with wonderful views. The mo ument is looking a bit weather beaten but when you have followed the meridian line from Greenwich on foot it's a sight for sore eyes. ( and feet !!😪! Bit overcast this morning but sun coming through. Still a good walkies for me and the doggo. Unexpectedly lovely place. Definitely recommend walking along the lower promenade. Very rugged and powerful. Makes you feel connected to the awesomeness of the sea. Small landmark but full of history! Nice place to walk along the cliffs Today was extremely stormy weather and it was such an amazing place. Beautiful and calm for a walk with friends or family. (We went at night that's why you can't see almost anything in the photos) Visited the Meridian Monument – marks the Greenwich Meridian line, the starting point for world time and navigation. Bit of history and nice views, worth a stop Lovely views point, we had lunch here. If the Weather was better super view from here ! I sat and had my dinner here after going to horaces in Newhaven for pie and chips 🍟last night! I waved down a car as a bag was sticking out there passenger door ! 2 females in car said oh thanks open door of passenger side and then left there big mouth burger shop rubbish in the road and drove off 😑 Hier überquert man den Nullmeridian. Schöner Blick auf den Ärmelkanal. It is fun to think that you are crossing over from West to East or vice versa as you step over the Greenwich Meridian or stand and stare out to sea, wondering where the line goes to. Picture is of my dog astride the line. This is a historical place, and I desire it for those who love travelling. We can observe historical marks of pioneers. We must visit the Prime Meridian Tower of Peace Heaven of London. Bit rundown. Nice historical and geographical place to visit. Parking is easy, and free. A good place for a walk and lovely view Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
