It may not have a pier or attractions, but this was a peaceful pebbled with historical significance as it is where the Normans landed in 1066. Great stone , good size great for a walk, dogs are allowed , shame no bonfire permitted. Nice and clean. Car has been redone and is fab. Great toilet facilities now and not to expensive to all day. Only issue is card only or app. Beach is always lovely to enjoy. Especially early in the morning. Dogs allowed all year round. By far , my favourite beach, the car is expensive though, especially if you just want to for 2 or 3 hours as it's £5.00 minimum for hours! Nice for a strole, just check the levels first and beware the muddy areas (from the clay underbase) but not a problem if between the higher shingle area and the flat lower sand area. A very peaceful without the noise of tourists. Excellent facilities such as a large pay and display car park, 10 huge litter bins with proper handles to stop the seagulls pulling out litter. 5 unisex toilets, 2 disabled toilets, one with a changing room and a shower unit. So peaceful, you could hear a pin drop. The waves, when the was in, were a joy to listen to. Interesting and enjoyable place to visit. Great for walking especially if you have a dog. It’s November so I didn’t swim! It can get very busy as it's a small seaside village, car is right next to the with toilets, a good place for family, no amusements but has cafes the is the place to be It's much quieter here than Eastbourne, when the is low quite sandy too. Nice shingle on the south coast (sand at low tide). Great pub on the seafront (Aqua Bar) ideal for a few beers and a meal overlooking the beach. The best. Never found it over crowded. Has car parking and facilities adjacent to the beach. 2 minutes to high Street for a great bakers/cafe plus other establishments all good including fish and chips or general store other food outlets. Love it there. Always worth checking the times of tides. Low revealing miles of sand. HI will mean you need to move to the top of the pebble beach. Very popular with dog walkers especially at low tide. Enjoy.
