Best place in town for food. I feel it is great value for money and amazing customer service. Fantastic food! A place to go back. Tiny eatery with really nice owners and fresh products. Apart from your a'nciminata, we sampled a few of the ingredients. Definitely didn't regret stopping over :) What’s not to love about a place where you struggle to choose a because all of the recipes sound unmissable. We got 2 and we had a mystical experience of umami overdose. Especially one of the that has capuliata stole our hearts. Moreover, the lady who welcomed us gave us some great background of the recipes in perfect English, and was agreeable throughout and the good sir behind the counter gave us some free carobs to munch on. Ah, I forgot to say the place is also a little shop of delicacies, several interesting sodas, and of course several types of Modica (and we got a free sample of the basic type). An unmissable Modica place. Excellent service, food, atmosphere. Very staff, owner. A must for bread and free taste of Modica and pistachios The most charming little salumeria/ shop in Modica! Such service, with recommendations, tastings of the bread and meats and even complimentary for dessert! Highly recommend! My top recommendation in Modica! A’nciminata is the product of the owner Peppe’s dream to showcase the best and most unique, authentic products from the region. I have been lucky enough to get to know him and his staff well throughout my time in Modica - and I am so grateful to call them friends. The owner is incredibly kind to all guests and is a wealth of knowledge. Come here to enjoy the best of the best from the region! Sample all of the wonderful cheeses, sausages, olives, chocolates, beer, wines (and SO much more) and indulge yourself in an incredible fresh and panini for lunch/dinner or a beautifully crafted cheese and meat board for an aperitivo! My tip top recommendation! There is something for everyone here. PS- the name itself - A’nciminata - is the name of the bread that is famous from Modica! Yet another nudge to go and try the bread, food, and glorious flavors that Peppe so intentionally presents and willingly introduces to each and every person that walks through the doors. Thank you Peppe, for everything! I will be back each day until I leave .. and then I will eagerly look forward to my next visit. I will be dreaming about the Milaru wine from Gurrieri, the truffle, sun dried tomato and pistachio cheeses, the bread with olive oil and oregano, the bay leaf liquor and so much more. Too many incredible things to enjoy! Don’t walk to A’nciminata… run! You Will not regret it! Heard about this place and decided to give it a try. Lots of interesting choices of - all fresh ingredients. We had the Re ri Spadi and the Assu ri Coppi. Both were but the Re ri Spadi was more flavourful. Make sure you are hungry because they are quite big and very filling. Glad we stopped in Really good sandwiches, the fillings were fresh and tasty, we had the ham and cheese, and the tuna and salad. Bread was fresh and crusty. Staff was super and helpful. Thanks so much. Cozy spot in Modica for a great snack or lunch. The panini’s are excellent! Pepe is so and welcoming. Well worth a visit! The proprietor Giuseppe (Pippo) has some of the best salami and cheese I've ever tasted! The pane and panini were traditional and delicious. We also grabbed some and small gifts. He is super and helpful. Definitely more than a one time visit! We had a wonderful experience here! The were – one with artichoke cream and anchovies, the other with cheese and porchetta – both perfectly made and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and the touch. The service was fantastic as well – very and helpful staff. The only downside is that there are only a few seats available, so you might have to wait a little or take your to go. But honestly, it’s worth it for this good! Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic, locally inspired flavors. Amazing made by an amazing shop owner! So tasty, great flavors in simple sandwiches. Pepe is an awesome guy, his attitude encouraged us to eat at his place. The wine he treated us with was delicious. So was the and he gave us. I really recommend this place if you want to eat tasty and in great atmosphere in Modica Stumbled upon this charming little café while wandering the streets of Modica on a rainy evening, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip! The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, taking the time to explain and let me taste a variety of specialties — from pane cunzato, artisan cheeses, and pistachios to Modican and traditional Sicilian drinks. It was easily one of the best gastronomical experiences I’ve had in Italy. The pane cunzato sandwiches, in particular, were unforgettable! 🌿🥪 I’d gladly return to Modica just to visit this café again. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic taste of Sicily. The owner, Pepe, was so kind, welcoming, and accommodating to my whole family. He gave us endless samples of cheeses and salamis. I will definitely be going back when I return to Modica and would highly recommend a visit!
