We went for a afternoon for the first time here, parked the car in the small carpark, great for dog walkers, can be very hilly and alot of tree roots to negotiate in parts,on the flat there's great views across to Malvern hills and lots of old trees and wildlife. Lovely woods. Beautiful whatever time of year you go. Great for the children to run around in. Great for the dog too. Take a up to Hanbury church. Have a wonder around the cemetery. The view is pretty great from the yard across the Worcestershire countryside. Recommended. Not the best pics, but i LOVE this place! It's a good through the woods, and you can come out by the which had the most amazing views! Definitely worth a trip as the pics don't do it justice A nice area of woodland, with a few carparks on both sides of the road, paths are clearly defined without being too obtrusive on the surrounding woodlands. Nice place, quiet, and well maintained. Dog freindly.. there are no poo bins... So DON'T LEAVE IT THERE. Close to the jinny ring craft centre Hanbury Woods was a lovely morning walk. Good parking, but when we arrived quite crowded, but once parked and walking didn't see many people at all. It was very muddy and slippery, my husband slipped over, but no harm done. There were some steep climbs, some very muddy, but if you on a bit further, there are less steep and less muddy climbs, which made it easier. There are some lovely glades, covered in golen leaves, and children were having fun kicking the leaves and throwing leaves at one another. We went there on Sunday 22/11/20 as we didn't want to go too far, being we were in lockdown, but wanted to enjoy the sunny weather, with a nice walk, there are better woodland walks in the area, but we enjoyed this one as well. Easy parking. Helpful board with map and route options. Lovely in the dry but suspect the path further on might have been a little more tricky in the wet. Nice parking in Hanbury woods and walking through to Hanbury Church, doesn't take long and the views are beautiful from the church. This time of year the yard and surrounding areas have a lot of snowdrops growing which is lovely to see. Walked following a short wet period and the woods were thick in mud, difficult with young children but we found a way through. Will visit again in warmer, dryer weather A lovely place to and explore the woods. The children love climbing all the fallen trees. Can easily spend a few hours wandering here. Lovely views across to Hanbury and the Malverns too.
