Nordens Vipassana center - Dhamma Sobhana

Ramstad, Sweden Meditation center

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Dhamma Sobahana is quite and tranquil. May all be well and happy 💕 I love this place. I've been here seven times for Vipassana courses and will probably return again. For me, the best time has been in July when the forest is flourishing and you can still hear the birds singing, but not as intensely as in June. If you have time before or after the course, consider visiting Omberg, one of Sweden's most species-rich forest landscapes, and/or lake Tåkern, one of Sweden's greatest bird-watching spots. If you're even slightly curious about meditation, I urge you to consider this 10-day course. While the idea of silence and intensive practice might seem daunting, the benefits are immense. The support provided makes the process manageable and deeply rewarding. I'm so grateful for this experience. Didn’t manage to take photos of the interior but here are some images of the surrounding in summer 🙂 amazing and calm place for a meditation retreat I don’t even know where to start.. I just know that everyone keeps telling me that my face has lightened up in a different way. I have never felt so relaxed in my mind. I feel peace. The servers did an absolutely amazing job - and they were sooo kind <3 . The assistant teacher Helena is such a beautiful soul .. answering every question with such patience and kindness. Really wanting the best for people. I don’t even know how to thank each and everyone of the staff at Sobhana. I’m just forever grateful and I would recommend anyone to invest 10 days 🙏🏽 Vipassana technique itself aside, I struggled with the following at this centre: INSANE amount of mosquitos in July, main walking area was forest with ticks where lyme disease was common, a regular booming/banging sound like gunfire (apparently to scare away birds from nearby harvests), and drilling/banging construction on new accommodation even through main group sittings. Yes you can use these all as tools to deepen equinamity :) but wouldn't have wanted to come here as a new student... very tough. Awesome experience to escape the exterior world & dwell on the interior. Namaste! There's no crucial need to be awaken at 4 am, said by the teacher when I asked her why; the "noble silent" doesn't mean there's silence, I shared a room with 2 other people in front and besides 2 toilets and the showers, hair dryers etc! The criticism to Christianity(a hint that Jesus end up dying on the cross) and trying to sell Buddhism is flagrant,(Buddha is better is died under a tree!) that's why is for "free"! I came here to learn a meditation technique, and I've learnt it, but it wasn't worthy for me how: having to watch and listening to a super loud and annoying chanting from an obese man and his wife (both passed Buddha has their souls!) to tells us that having our last meal which is a tea, at 5pm until breakfast at 6 am, is good for us, but obviously he and his wife didn't do it! And if the big watch that he used to wear was a gift, as such he didn't need to wear it. You can learn about this technique reading books!
