Definitely worth checking out the ruins of this on a hill overlooking Useldange. There is plenty of free around the and it's free to enter also. Can walk up both towers, one of which has a great view of the area. The grounds are nice and it's in great condition. Definitely check it out. Nice place for a quick along the way Amazing castle. There is a lot next to the but there are others close by. A surprising because the entry was free! Inside the is a lot too see. Information panels with different languages (French, German and English) and even in Braille. There are pictures and some small sculptures (I think it is for blind people to feel the pictures). If you are on top of one of the towers you can see the city of Useldange. Pretty nice view! An excellent site to with free nearby (a dedicated area plus adjacent off-street parking). There's even public toilets available with entry from the roadside. Apart from the ruins, inside the towers, there are informative displays (audio in several languages... including English) and artwork to view. Don't be perturbed by the modern doors, just give them a try, and you'll be surprised to find that they are actually open, granting you access to various parts of the ruins. Upon my visit, there were no staff or tours, and many people assumed the doors were locked and turned away without trying....so just give the doors a try. Apart from the ruins, the surrounding grounds and adjacent river area are worth exploring, too. With statues depicting the local bird and fish species. Another excellent tourism effort Luxembourg, putting the nearby "bigger" countries to shame. NB; There's even a lift available to reach the courtyard area for those with mobility problems. Lovely to when in the area. I liked the well designed staircase which was easy to climb and very safe. Pity that most signs are in French and German. The outside garden is also lovely and worth visiting. Beautiful castle, free to visit, with audio and information around the place. Behind the is also a nice parc that you can visit. Free lots next to this castle. If you are near and love castles and history... you need to this place! Nice castle! I was just on the outside because I was too early but still a nice experience. Definitely a recommendation! Endroit tres beau et tres tranquille à visiter... We went here with my 5 y.o. son to explore the special path around the (as far as I know it was originally created for the visually impaired people, but actually it's very interesting to explore it with kids, too). Despite the gray sky, the is still wonderful and the view from the top of the tower is amazing. Highly recommend! Make sure you do not miss the medieval festival Which takes place in early June every year. Przyjemnie. obok. Ciekawe miejsce. It's a beautiful castle. There are clean toilets but there isn't a change baby. There's a table for picnic. It's a good place to go with kids. This is a very beautiful place and castle. We were performing here with our flagwavers group Milites. 😊🇭🇰🥁 Super interesting to visit. It’s nice to see how it has a new function for the municipality as well as being open for visitors. Inside the towers you’ll find more info about it’s history, which is open till 7 pm.
