Very cool animal park and nice staff. the children really liked it and could touch and pet many animals, ride a pony and many other interesting activities. we were very satisfied with this visit👍👍 I have very mixed feelings... My impression was not all are well taken care off. Mother camel was whole day on a short ( not even 2 m long) leash walking circles... Zoo is located on a huge area and if you want to walk it is a hard job especially with a buggy ( there is however a car/wagoon that can give you a lift up the hill which is an advantage). Compared to other zoo and farms I have seen so far - it's not the one I would like to go to again. Picnic area was dirty and many other parts seemed to be neglected. They have however many activities which are free ( of course if you have a ticket) so kids can be happy anyway. I thought to give it 3 stars because of beautiful views but zoo is more about care than views... Our initial impression was not good - the car park was small and rough. The 'zoo' itself is pleasant enough to walk around, with many free-range birds and animals. They all looked to be well fed and happy. There were a few in enclosures - lions, tigers, ostrich, wolves and others with reasonably-sized enclosures; however, the activities like riding a pony, paddle boating on the lake, the archery and the tractor trailer ride were organised quite haphazardly. Two members of our party chose to handle a snake, which was roughly put back in a basket every time the same member helped people into a boat. The worst part was the 'tiger cub experience'. They paid €20 per adult and child for 10 minutes with one 'sleeping' tiger cub. It was completely still the whole time. I know the money probably went to the upkeep of the animals, but this treatment of a tiger cub was completely unacceptable. It left me feeling really upset. It's a nice day out but the zip line is only open on holidays and to see the lion, you have to pay extra, to ride a horse is extra and they didn't have any craft activities. We went years ago and it was better. The toilets aren't great but the restaurant is good. There's also space to eat your own food. Best experience of my life We found this place in google maps and we decided to visit it, we came all the way from Germany and it was 100% worth it. The were amazing and friendly, the park was very nice and it felt like the were super happy freely walking around the park. We had the amazing experience of cuddling a baby tiger and a gorgeous lioness with the guidance of one of the members who was super nice and made us feel very comfortable. This place deserves 10 stars . What a brilliant day! We saw a goat give birth. The zoo is so relaxed, it is wonderful to wander round. The are all so helpful. A very nice day out with very friendly and animals. Don't be fooled by the bird park signs on the way here. This is a full animal reserve but well worth it. Great zoo, its bigger than the town next to it and verry frendly staff. Also hilly so better wear some hiking boots. Lots of places to feed and pet the animals. Lovely staff, animals, activities and food! Great family day out!
