The way back down on the outside is fairly easy as far as slope is concerned, and there are handrails available in steeper spots. The lookout offered some really lovely views of the surrounding forest. We arrived early enough that there was still plenty of parking close by. Nice hike through a crevice in the mountain. There is parking for vehicles at the entrance to the hike. Highly recommend it. Bring your strong knees, you need them for the hike. Peaceful and relaxing for the day.
