The food was fabulous. The sea bass is huge and beautifully cooked. The curried musssels is a alternative way. The manager and staff were great, even when an order was messed up they bought some free drinks. It’s a lovely decor for a traditional bar and right in the heart of the town. I had a time here. Concept is sharing plates, you should choose 2 per person. We definitely were full afterwards! food, drinks and impeccable service. Beautiful view of the main square. Location is nice too. We visited Martiko by complete chance after being in Oudenaarde for the opening weekend of the spring cycling races and we’re might glad we did. Each course was tasty, beer was 10/10 and the waiters were very friendly and professional 😊 We were a group of eleven friends so pre-booked. We arrived on time and were given a table on the first floor with a view of the Markt. Waiter explained the Flemish menu. Having taken the order and started to serve the meal they realised one of the dishes was unavailable. An alternative was provided. The food was excellent. I recommend arriving early when there might be a better choice of dishes. Nice food, although a small amount of choices on the menu except for large meat dishes. The pricing however is very deceptive. We can understand that you pay for the meat and the quality of it but the extra’s are just a bit much.
