Beautiful building and huge space inside. I went for lunch and the restaurante was empty. I've order a Duvel (which was really fresh) and a Steak au poivre with fries. The steak was perfectly cooked an the fries portion could feed 4 people easily. Staff was friendly. An idiosyncratic decor expressing the taste of brother-and-sister proprietors, giving this restaurant a joyous, playful character. We had lunch to break a long journey and we’re well fed and revived. Recommended. Wonderful experience. Me and my colleague went there by chance looking for a place to eat and we found ourselves a treat. The owners, sister and brother were very cordial and talkative. I even got the chance to talk in flemish! Went here after a day at the beach and had some very good food. Quick and friendly service. This place turned out to be a hidden “GEM” in East Flanders and the owners were “ICING ON THE CAKE” super friendly and sweet people. Food was “TOP”! Each and every dish prepared was special and presentation of the dishes were lovely too. The ambience was very homely, calm and peaceful giving us a feeling of a Flanders lifestyle. We went there to celebrate dad’s birthday and the owners were very kind to celebrate cutting the cake with us making it a “MEMORABLE” evening.
