We had an amazing visit to Huerto Ribera with our kids, and it was truly a highlight of our trip! We traveled by train from Valencia, and the owner was incredibly kind—providing detailed information beforehand and even helping us with the transfer from the train station. The guided was fantastic—very informative and engaging, with stunning views of the farm and surrounding landscape. We got to taste the best and other fruits—so fresh and delicious! At the end of the tour, we visited the farm shop, where we could sample and buy excellent products at very fair prices. The whole family absolutely loved the experience! It started with a fascinating introduction to the history and trade of oranges, giving us a deeper appreciation for these fruits. We then walked through the vast groves, where we had the chance to pick our own oranges. In our case, they were blood oranges—sweet, juicy, and incredibly delicious. Next, we enjoyed a tasting, sampling a variety of different fruits, each with its own unique flavor. To top it off, there was a delightful tasting session featuring freshly squeezed juice, marmalades, honey, and more—all of which were available for purchase. Overall, the trip was more than worth it. The train ride from Valencia took just 40 minutes. We hadn’t pre-booked a taxi, but our guide picked us up upon arrival. The walk back to the at the end took around 30 minutes, making it an easy and enjoyable excursion. We had an absolutely amazing time at Huerto Ribera. This was a lovely 2 hour by Anna, I was pleasantly surprised to that this was not only picking but lots of history was shared about the crop, irrigation systems and warehousing system. It was accompanied by different types of tasting of along the way, some lemons and marmalades with an opportunity to buy some from home from the store. Teresa was kind enough to pick us up from the when we came - but the only downside was the travel back to the train station, we had requested for a taxi in advance but didn’t get one - so had to walk half an hour instead. It is because Carcaixent is a tiny town and the taxi is unreliable. La resta de la es desenvolupa mostrant-nos la finca i la part de muntanya que té. Molt interessant la al pou tan profund que té (crec que 35 metres de fondària). El que més em va agradar va ser vore distints tipus de cítrics els quals no estem acostumats a vore. El que em va DECEBRE MOLT va ser que no es pot accedir a l'interior de la casa per gaudir de l'arquitectura modernista. Molt despagat em vaig quedar ja que era un dels principals motius de la meua visita. Per altra banda, malgrat ser una correcta, per a un valencià arrelat al territori, no hi ha res de nou. El més curiós es veure com reaccionen els estrangers a coses que nosaltres considerem quotidianes, habituals i normals. En finalitzar la visita, ens porten a la botiga de marxandatge (caríssim tot) en la qual ens fan un tast dels productes a la venda i ens conviden a suc de taronja natural. It it a stunningly beautiful and calm place, the orchard surrounds a lovely country house in the scenic Valencian countryside. In addition to this, the service, quality of the tour, and attention to detail overall was impeccable. We were told that they have had few guests after the Dana. The guide, Ana, came to work and opened the whole orchard just for us, we were just two people. Ana was so knowledgeable and super friendly. The included facinating history, and we learned so many cool and unexpected things about growing trees and the industry in general.
