And the parking spaces are VERY LIMITED with a steep lefthand turn full of sand which makes it an interesting experience when trying to leave. Nosotros hicimos una ruta de unos 6 km ida y vuelta aproximadamente al ir con un niño de 5 años ya que la ruta circular es bastante más larga. Recomiendo aparcar el coche en el parking habilitado ya que si lo se deja el coche al lado del salto de agua os arriesgáis a pagar multas hasta de 600 euros. La ruta pasa por diferentes zonas con agua, saltos de agua, pozas en un entorno de paz y calma con abundante vegetación y zonas de sombra. The carpark isn't far out of the village of Planes and the walk takes about 30 mins from the car park to the main part of the river with the pools to swim. The waterfall is only about 10 mins from the carpark. Very pretty, but would be spectacular after a large rainfall. Few people know about it, of course mostly locals. Some jump to the water from 5-10 m cliff. It's a nice small pond with a waterfall. I guess you can swim there in summer. For better mountain views go to Montanejos or Charco Azul. But here it's nice. Parking may be somewhat difficult in summer, I guess. Sadly you are no longer allowed to drive to it. (I did) bit of s walk. There is no waterfall at the moment, but you can still go for a swim.
