Basic fare by the beach. The current rating for this establishment (4.6) is a complete travesty, as this place easily deserves a 5 star rating. The cuisine is freshly caught and prepared - and you can tell, with sumptuous flavour and delightful texture. I enjoyed different dishes on three different occasions - a tuna steak, a fish stew and fried mackerel. All three were expertly prepared and I felt as if I was transported into one of the lively pastel coloured villas of the island - enjoying an authentic home cooked meal. Our server was excellent too, giving us superb recommendations and entertaining us with anecdotes and history about the islands rich culture. Excellent value - you could pay 50 euros and not get a better meal! Terrible experience. Got there at opening, there were 3 people total ahead of us. Long wait for a very simple order. 10 euros for a salad that was very small, the lettuce was rotten and tomato was old too. Not sure if we were unlucky but we are def not going back Bar VINHA D'AREIA it's a magic place, the front point view to the ocean on the sunset time it takes us to very happy and relaxing moments, very good menu, with traditional and portuguese food, great service, nice music and there is different spots where to have a meal or just simply drink, I do come sometimes just for a meal or a Gin and Tonic! Great snack bar right near an excellent black sand beach! The food offerings are more of sandwiches and appetizers. Reasonably priced, good service, great view and easy access to the if you wanted more drinks while on the beach. Nice joule in front of the beach. Food only served from 6pm . Very chill place, everyone was kind there and we even have such nice in front of the bar, wich is nice This was the best experience i have ever had in a snack bar, the food was incredible the service from the workers there was amazing, they are kinda, respectful awesome atmosphere.
