It was definitely not adapted to our daughter and we left even before the end of the 1-hour we had planned as she wanted to leave. When we asked about how much to pay when leaving, we were told to pay the regular fee of 25€ for the 2 adults we were (even if we stayed 1 hour and left because our daughter was too small). This was definitely not worth 25€ and a small gesture would have been appreciated. Iir really felt like a tourist trap. It is an excellent place to the past in the countryside, with fantastic food and ambience. It was the best in my life! Our guide Victor did an excellent job showing us around and quiz our knowledge about agriculture. We enjoyed the great deal, even got to taste the “best in the world”. The is a great mix of the history/culture of the Azores and learning hands on about the different plants, fruits and that are typical throughout the islands. We also enjoyed learning how to a cow and enjoying the fresh milk. And we really enjoyed spending the last portion enjoying some treats and chatting with Vitor. This is a really fun and helps you appreciate a lot of the work that is done on the islands, we’d anyone coming to Sao Miguel to visit! This was one of the most magical experiences of my life. We got to attend one of the special tours and eat a home cooked meal with some of the best bread and butter I’ve ever had. It felt like we were invited to into this family’s home and transported back in time. Drinking directly from the source was so special as well. I learned so much about the plant life and animal life there, as well as the history of the island. Eugenio was deeply kind, engaging, and passionate about sustainable agriculture. I felt deeply lucky to absorb so much wisdom from him which I hope to carry with me as I continue growing my own garden. It’s rare that you attend something and walk away a person with a richer spirit for having encountered it. I only wish everyone could this! It was an awesome experience. We learned so much about the history of farming in the Azores as well as the they grow today and what a traditional house looked like. Our guide quizzed us on or gave us leaves to smell to identify the plant as well as let us try fresh bananas (we could give the peel to the donkey). We could also feed a calf and a cow and try the milk. We had an amazing experience. 2 hours full of fun, especially for the kids. Vitor was lovely to host us and even spend 30 minutes more so the kids could use the big swing several times. Can highly Amazing experience! Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. He went as far as saying that though we enter as guests, he hopes we leave as friends. I felt that sentiment through and through. We had a fantastic experience, especially with a group of young kids who absolutely loved it. The allowed us to walk around the and view all the animals, which was a real highlight. We even got to cows and sample fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden—an unforgettable for everyone. The large swing provided plenty of fun for the kids as well. We booked our with short notice, and Eugénio and his wife were incredibly accommodating. Despite not having any guides available that day, Eugénio personally took us on a breathtaking journey through the farm. His passion for the Azorean way of life shone through as he introduced us to a variety of and animals. This was hands down the highlight of our 10-day adventure in São Miguel! Eugénio was not only friendly but also full of fascinating insights. Plus, we even had the unique opportunity to a cow! I can’t this enough! We had a two-hour on the farm. We learned a lot of interesting facts about growing local fruit and vegetable and breeding in a fun way with a great Guinea Victor. For the children, the most interesting part was definitely the part with the animals, when they could see and touch pigs, rabbits, calves and other on the farm. We could also try milking. The was a great not only for the children. We 100% visiting the farm. And the best was pig Pickles!
