Great for apple picking, nice walk around the grounds. and other goods available for purchase. Parking can be difficult. Very nice chateau with good tasting. We had a bit of a sense it was mass market as there were too many people. So the was rather soul-less. Plus the castle is closed. Though on the pictures you can definitely see photos from this castle. A tiny bit disappointing Beautiful place where you can pick apples, enjoy the scenery and purchase delicious food and made at the chateau as well as other locally produced goods. The staff are all so lovely and very knowledgeable, big thanks to everyone there for showing us around today! Stunning Château with a lovely shop and room (incl. outside terrace). We arrived a bit early for a but we're shown a lovely 30 min woodland trail around the grounds and edge of the vineyard, a great way to build up a thirst. Staff were fantastic, fluent English and German spoken, and they're hugely knowledgeable and passionate about the wine. We really enjoyed our of about 10 wines and their fresh apple juice. Victoria was our lovely guide for our tour. She spoke good English and she was really knowledgeable and helpful. She elevated our experience overall. We learned a lot about history in general, the history of the vineyard and their grapes. We had booked the The Great Escape (4x4 + open air - 2h15) experience, but due to the windy weather, we received an email well in advance in order to do the indoors and get a refund instead. Really responsive and we were happy with the place and the in the end. They also sell some goodies in addition to wine. I'd gladly go back! Such a beautiful estate with lots of history. We had an amazing guide and tasted some great wines! We had a great tour of the vineyard with Victoria. She's lovely and knowledgeable. The vineyard itself is beautiful and the at the end was a great success. Definitely recommend and all wines from Astros are delicious. We wanted to have a look at the château and ended up in the small shop. Claudine gave us such friendly and warm welcome that we didn't want to leave! She let us taste the Rosé Absolu, of which we immediately bought 2 bottles. La Croqueuse is like an apple liqueur and was so good that we also bought 2 bottles.
