The guides are very professional. Very nice well prepared tracks, pleasant with beautiful rocks and trees... Sometimes you do see some water streaming I (Swedish Rescue Drones) have helped out, watching for forest fires the last couple of years. In one of the entrances to this humbling and magnificent National Park, you'll find Naturum with hospitality services, bathrooms et.c. Super friendly and dedicated staff that go out of their way to make the visitors' experience as good as possible! So far always very friendly employees that allowed us to also charge our Powerbanks on their sockets while we stayed in the national park for some days :) There’s also a small exhibition and a small gift shop, as well as a library in the Naturum Cozy park with lots of different well marked tracks for all types of visitors. We spent several hours with our kids and another family, we all enjoyed ourselves exploring the outdoors. Very big and interesting park, loved the visit there! The naturum shop had great-quality souvenirs, like magnets and wood sculptures of swedish animals. Very close to naturum shop, when moving closer to the park itself, there's a stable, where you can see a lot of horses wandering outside. Also further we saw a lot of sheeps and geese. Park itself was magical, we felt as if we moved back in time. We also happened to see 2 wild deers in the forest. I'd definetly reccomend this park if you like to wander for a longer periods of time (3-6h) and love nature as much as I do. Really fabulous National Park. Super clearly marked with various different routes of different length available. Very easy to get to from Södermalm/centre of Stockholm. Took just over an hour with a train and then bus. I’d check the buses back from the National Park and try and coincide it with the end of your walk, as they’re only 1 every hour, so you don’t want to only just miss the bus and then have to wait. We did the Purple 13km route. We’re quite fit and athletic and it took us 4hrs 30 - including stopping for lunch and pictures! (Pictures of the routes available attached.) Only saw about 10 groups of people the whole. Super quiet, picturesque and just a really lovely day.
