Vouliagmeni Lake
Athens, Greece Swimming lake
Vouliagmeni Lake is a worthwhile visit for a unique and relaxing experience. However, be prepared for higher prices and potential crowds. Booking in advance is highly recommended. Book sunbeds online in advance, especially for visits after 10 a.m. Be aware that outside food and drinks are prohibited. The steps into the lake can be slippery. It's more commercial than it was previously. "Such a beautiful place that doesn't feel too overcrowded even at full capacity." "Great place to calm down, especially the private area." "It’s a wonderful and unique spot, definitely worth a visit – just come early, book ahead, and be prepared for the higher prices." Entrance is €20 per person. It can get quite busy and full. We were told that the beds were all reserved but nobody was using them. The toilets for ladies are only two. For such a busy place that's very few. Need to improve on that. The changing rooms however are enough. This place is magical, everything is expected it to be. I recommend doing reservations it's more cost friendly, the food was great and decently priced. It was a wonderful experience swimming with the in such beauty. The place is very and well-maintained, an exclusive location that's not too big, extremely organized and meticulous. For example, they wouldn’t allow a child to buy diving goggles without his parents… why? The service is polite, but everything is extremely expensive. They don’t allow bringing any food or drinks from outside, which is quite frustrating. One of the main attractions is small that nibble on your feet. Anyone who can’t stand that sensation simply won’t be able to go into the water. Recommended only for those who are willing to spend a lot of money. Such a place that doesn't feel too overcrowded even at full capacity. The was crystal clear, the views were very nice, the whole property was very well maintained and clean, and the staff were all very nice, friendly and helpful. And the little did an amazing job, my feet are so smooth!!! Thermal outside of Athens. There's tiny that eat the dead skin off your feet. It tickles, but is a bit strange at first. This is a relaxing place, with lounge chairs to rent, a bar, changrooms, and spa. It costs around €19 to spend the day. Not ideal for young children. This is a wonderful tourist place with a landscape and nature, a rock hanging over a lake, which has very and warm with an underground current and with that do their pedicure and pleasantly bite the skin. The most ever. spa as well. Love it . Unique experience scenery. Worth visiting . Great place to calm down, especially the private area. The are like in spa and are all over the lake, very nice experience We pre booked upgraded beds which was worth paying the extra. This is truly a unique experience, clear in a with doctor fish. Waiter service to your beds serving food and drinks. Well worth the journey (we used our second day hop on hop off bus ticket). The is very beautiful, as is the entire area. However, I find the entrance fees disproportionate, and the regular ticket only includes the small, uncomfortable sunbeds. The comfortable sunbeds are very expensive (50€). The clientele is quite mixed, but there are many wannabes and aspiring influencers. There is a changing area with showers and a hairdryer. Food and drink prices are similar to those in a rooftop bar in Athens. I loved this place, it’s really worth going in. The is warm and your skin will be so soft after taking a swim here. Staff is very professional and prepared for everything. The area is chill and has everything you need: shower, spa, restaurant, food service at your longe area. Don’t worry about the fishes, you get used to it and they actually a lot only at the entrance of the lake, we loved them. A bit of overrated. I thought it would be a nice and quiet getaway but it was very crowded with seats too close to each other. Also a bit pricey considering the crowd. Allowing to smoke makes it worse. Other than that it is a place with good amenities like showers, restrooms and restaurants. Bring a towel or pay $35 for a rag! Vouliagmeni is a truly unique and place. The is crystal clear, mineral-rich and believed to have healing properties. You’ll even find little that gently exfoliate your skin if you stand still – like a spa! The surroundings are very clean and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is special. That said, it’s not a cheap place, and it has become more commercial compared to 5–7 years ago, which is a bit disappointing. It’s also very popular – by 10 a.m. it can already be hard to find sunbeds, though in 2025 you can now book them online in advance. Service is generally good, but the facilities could use improvement: one of the only two ladies’ restroom stalls doesn’t lock properly and the flush panel is broken, which feels unacceptable given the increased entrance price. Food at the bar is still tasty – I really enjoyed the club sandwich. However, be aware that and snacks from outside are not allowed, and prices for basics like bottled are on the high side. Some practical tips: the wooden steps into the can be slippery, so watch your step. The used to be cleared of floating seaweed more regularly, but now it’s left natural, which not everyone enjoys. Still, swimming among the rocks and warm mineral waters remains a special experience. Overall, it’s a wonderful and unique spot, definitely worth a visit – just come early, book ahead, and be prepared for the higher prices Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
