Bovilla is nothing short of breathtaking. My recent there was an absolute dream. The scenery is simply out of this world. Every turn revealed a new, stunning vista. It's the kind of place where you feel completely at peace. The itself was challenging but incredibly rewarding. The effort was absolutely it for the panoramic from the top. I can honestly say it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. There is also a up further up which provides a good rest point and food stop point. If you're looking for a serene escape surrounded by nature, Bovilla is a must-visit. You MUST visit this amazing place when u are in Tirana. I recommend to go with a local friend or with tour guide because the route to go up to the mountain is quite rough. We hiked a bit to the viewpoint but can’t go higher as we don’t have professional equipment. However, this tour was totally enjoyable and the weather was super nice! 😍 Although the car trip up to the is quite cumbersome, it is absolutely it (sidenote: make sure you to Bovilla Reservoir on Google Maps, as searching for Bovilla will you on a completely different road that ends nowhere near the itself, we made this mistake and it took us around one extra hour to get to the actual lake). The of the are amazing and the up to the is very enjoyable (highly recommend the as well). The 1€ fee for the stairs that go up the mountain is totally it, the are incredible. One of the best lakes I've seen in Europe. Very nice for a short and nice BUT pay attention to the street, it’s very messy and if you get a low car, you can easily damage it, too many holes during the way to the and in certain points, the streets were just too messy. Last 5km made in 25min Tips for a Safe and Enjoyable Experience: 1. Wear proper footwear – sturdy, non-slip shoes are essential. 2. Avoid the if it’s raining – our guide mentioned that tours still operate in the rain since many visitors prefer not to cancel, but trust me, it can be extremely dangerous. 3. Dress warmly in winter – temperatures can be quite cold at higher elevations. 4. Bring water and snacks – staying hydrated and having a snack can make the more comfortable. 5. Take motion sickness medication if needed – the journey to the starting point is bumpy. 6. The road to the is unpaved – we saw people driving their own cars, but it can be quite risky. The road is narrow, shared with large buses and trucks, and has many bumps. If you're unfamiliar with the area, it's best to go with a guide for a safer experience. Additional Advice: If you're unsure whether you can complete the full hike, keep in mind that the first part of the trail is about 30 minutes and is quite manageable. I saw elderly individuals and people who weren’t particularly fit doing it at their own pace. This leads to Bovilla Restaurant, where you can take a break and enjoy the while the rest of the group continues to the platform. Personally, I decided to stay at the while my husband continued the hike. Many others also chose to stop here, as the second part of the is more challenging. The final stretch to the platform takes about 15 minutes, but it is very rocky and slippery, especially on the way down. Even if you're unsure about your ability to complete the full hike, I encourage you to go—reaching the alone is it, and the are beautiful. Enjoy your trip and stay safe! A stunning emerald green pristine with panoramic from the viewing platform above. We took a taxi to the point of the set high up beyond which no vehicles can pass. It was quiet season so no issues with parking spots. A walk along a rough track and some metal steps further along will take you up to the viewing platform. Only attempt if you feel able to. The whole trek should take approximately 20-30 mins depending on fitness level. Sensible shoes advised. The from there is well the climb. A great place to sit in peace and contemplate life. I think this is one of the best things to do in Albania , and the best around Tirana , totally the and hike. If you want to make it easier , you need to uphill to the restaurant( Bovilla restaurant)then walk from there, otherwise you can enjoy a good workout lol. Bovilla – top spot. Short and the up there is totally it. The was packed, but the made up for it. Pro tip: book a tour – the is wild. We visited Bovilla yesterday and it was absolutely amazing. The road there is quite extreme, the worst part is about 4 km long. You have to be an experienced driver for this. Once you leave the car in the small parking lot, you need to get up to the restaurant. It took us 30 minutes to walk there. Some people drove their cars halfway and parked somewhere on the way or drove the cars up to the (you have to eat at the to park there). On the way there were sheep and two cows. Once we bought the tickets (1€ per person) at the restaurant, we started hiking up. This is not for those who are afraid of heights. The is quite extreme and the stairs are only partially there. But everything is it! The up there is mind-blowing. Место которое стоит посетить 🩵 We didnt get to visit, the roads were too harsh for our car Beautiful . Lovely at the top which is lovely inside and the staff do friendly . The roads up to the top are very broken and you have to very slowly and carefully and you are going up to the top on a zigzag track that you can see on my pictures . The track is very bumpy but the from the top is amazing . You can stay at or you can be more adventurous and climb to the top carefully . Incredible of the lake. The is 3 hrs back and forth if you start from the bottom. Otherwise park at the up the hill and it’s 40 mins. The was amazing and rewarding. Bring water and good shoes. The road to get there is unpaved and bumpy Great place. to visit Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
