It's good that it's used for various events. Was currently in preparation for new year's eve and had a bazaar and a stage set up with a few small amusement park amenities. Very big square. It is a nice that creates a natural end cap to the main boulevard in town. It is surrounded by several government buildings and there are many restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The center of the commonly hosts short term seasonal activities. We passed through this on our way from Tirana Lake to the city center. It felt really spacious and open, but I honestly wasn’t sure where exactly to cross the road. It’s one of those places that feels important in the city, but also a bit confusing when you’re just walking around. Sprawling , imposing and inspiring. From here I could visit University, Grand Park and Archeological Museum, nice place to walk around leisurely. Interesting square,many events take place in it! Big square. W pobliżu znajduje się między innymi Stadion Air Albania, Muzeum Archeologiczne, Uniwersytet i Politechnika w Tiranie, Wielki Park, Pałac Kongresowy, Akademia Sztuk Pięknych, Budynek Biura Prezydenta. Zwiedzanie Tirany najlepiej rozpocząć od okolic Placu Matki Teresy z Kalkuty w kierunku Placu Skanderbega albo odwrotnie. Nice communist era in the middle of Tirana, since the fall of communism named after Mother Theresa. It’s located at the end of the main boulevard and so makes a nice endpoint to a stroll around Tirana. Totalitarian architecture in stone is quite impressive and the Main University building has a nice terrace that’s great to sit and rest on and admire the view into town via the main boulevard… Belle place, mais la plaque commémorative n'est pas entretenu. Walking south from Skandebeg square,passing parks and the pyramid to your left, you arrive at Mother Teresa square. The football/soccer stadium is to your left, concealed by the Marriot Hotel. Mother Teresa leads to the park and artificial lake. Small plaques on walls display Mother Teresa who was born in neighbouring North Macedonia Another square, not much to see there when no event is taking place. Good sights down the treed boulevard though. Big from communist times. Nothing really to see here except a big that essentially operates like a round about. We were hoping to see something relevant to Mother Teresa but this one is just a regular road at the end of the main street.
