While visiting Spain from the USA, we booked an individual online, which was quick and easy. We promptly received a confirmation email with all the necessary details, and everything seemed well-organized from the start. Upon arriving at the winery, we joined a group of about 20 guests. The guide greeted everyone at the gate and immediately began the in Spanish. We asked if she spoke any English, and she replied, “very little.” Unfortunately, none of the other guests spoke English either, so we weren’t able to follow the commentary or ask questions, which significantly limited our experience. At the end of the tour, we were given a of their premium Albariño, which was lovely and accompanied by cheese and crackers—a nice touch. Unfortunately, when we opened the premium bottle later that evening, we were disappointed to find that it had gone bad. It was a letdown, especially since we had looked forward to enjoying it as a highlight of our trip. Overall, while the setting was lovely and the wines showed promise, the language barrier and the issue with the left us with mixed feelings.
