We came to this small winery for lunch but they also have winery tours and a shop. It’s a very environment with indoor and outdoor seating, and service. Recommend pre booking during busier times like bank holiday weekends. The is decent (we thought sparkling was better than stills), excellent pizza, and decent cheese and salads. Numerous options for vegetarians which I loved. It’s dog friendly, and has clean toilets. The road into and out of it was a bit narrow and rough, but it did have decent parking with a short walk to the winery. I would like to share my very positive experience of the here. I’ve got to try 4 different and a small selection of local cheese and crackers. The sommelier that ran me through different was very approachable and knowledgable. Also, the rose sparkling was great. I would definitely recommend the experience. Outstanding food, the seared tuna I had here the best I have ever had. A perfect texture and lovely ginger flavours. On a sharing board we also had melt-in-the-mouth venison. Very high quality ingredients and, of course, carefully paired with made here. Very cosy modern cocktail bar also. Well worth a special visit. From wonderful sparkling white, beers, pizzas, not to mention the olives, stop by here and enjoy all the tremendous treats on offer. The chutneys from the shop are superb, as are the team working who couldn’t have been more pleasant and professional. Came here after my friend’s recommendation and WOW what a in an amazing location. It felt so cosy and Christmassy so I can’t imagine how it must be in summer. The pizza complimented with the side salad was truly unreal! I will definitely be recommending my family and friends to pop by for a visit. Atmosphere & Stunning Views Recently went for Fathers Day at The Mount in Shoreham and was really impressed. The views are absolutely beautiful, and the pub has a warm, welcoming vibe. Staff were friendly, service was quick, and the food was tasty and well-priced. A perfect spot for a relaxing drink or casual meal. Highly recommended! Had a experience at the Mount Vineyard. Visited for a birthday trip, we got to taste 4 different which were accompanied by a tasty cheeseboard. The hosts were very knowledgeable about each we tasted ( you can also purchase the on site). After the session we headed out into the grounds to take some pictures before heading into the for a lunch. The vineyard is about a 10 min walk from Shoreham train station which is really handy. The staff are very warm and welcoming and there is a lil gift shop on site where you can purchase homemade biscuits, chutneys honey etc. Definitely worth a visit. 2 of us came here for lunch on a weekday. This place is absolutely stunning from the moment you drive in and head to the car park. Immaculately looked after and a joy to walk around. You can choose to sit outside on picnic benches or inside at dining tables. We sat inside but careful where you choose to sit because along the edge where the sun is got way too hot and we had to move. This place has those outdoor-type heaters for chilli days but when it comes to hot days, there's no aircon. We had several dishes, my favourite was the Yellowfin tuna, avocado, gochujang aioli, cucumber & sesame in a nori basket. I would come back just for that! The staff are really lovely and friendly. It was just the perfect afternoon. Looking forward to coming back but please get some sort of cooling system for mid summer! One of the best Sunday spots to go and eat. From the acre vineyard it is set it in to the wood fired pizza oven, that calls for a retractable roof to let the heat out this place just dosent miss. 40 pound and cheese is must with a very knowledgeable host. We probably come here twice a month because it's that It's a very venue, it's been set up really nicely that there are a number of different areas. Plenty of parking in the summer with the over flow car park. I imagine on a wet winters day, that might be more of an issue with field turning muddy. The set up is a vineyard where you can see the vines, then try a tipple and get some food. There is a restaurant, but you will need to book in advance as when we went it was 3 weeks until you could get a booking on a weekend. Would be a location for a celebration meal. If you chance your luck and turn up on the day you can sit outside without a booking, but it is first come first serve. The issue with this is lots of people turn up and stand around waiting for a to become free, which means that people who have just turned up can rush to a quicker and get it with no come back. We had two people get a before us who had turned up after us as we were trying to entertain a 9 month old. Fortunately a couple came and got us and then vacated their table. Same happened to the family behind us in the queue as well. To stop this from happening it would be if they could either ask people to form a line so you know who is next. Or do it on a ticketing system, so when a becomes empty, the servers could clear it and then call out the next number. And who ever has that number gets a seat in a fair and valid way. The food was nice, I feel they have become a little unlucky with their own success as it was very busy, so the food took a little bit of time to come. But we were happy to wait. But if in a rush you might want to be prepared for a little wait. Also can become awkward when you have people eyeing up your and you look like you are just sitting there with nothing. Overall a pleasant experience for lunch. You could also use it as a stop on a walk if you did a bit of planning. Or were wanting to catch the train out from London and do a circular walk as it is close to the station. I would come back again for a celebration and make sure we had booked a in the restaurant. It was dog and had a baby change in the disabled loos. Highly recommend a visit!!! This is a winery with delicious food! You can do a self guided or a fully led tour and tasting. Self guided you could choose either still or sparkling and there was a delicious array of picnic food in the shop, so we had a little picnic outside. Such a day trip The setting would have been on a summer's day. But on a cold autumn evening with the roof closed, it was less than ideal. The noise level was deafening. We could not hear each other at all. The food was mediocre, and I was told by my friend, "So was the wine." On a plus side, the waiting staff were doing their best on a busy night. Unfortunately it will not be on my list to rush back to. The Mount Vineyard is such an easy day trip from London, no taxi needed from the station. The pizzas were delicious, the salads fresh and flavoursome, and the was reasonably priced. We did a which was a way to try a mix of what they offer and learn about their wines. The itself is beautiful, but if you’re after something more casual, the outdoor area is perfect for a drink and a bite in the sun. Everything feels thoughtfully done. A hidden gem in Kent. I've been to Shoreham several times and had no idea this place existed! The staff are very and accommodating. They moved us to a better table, so that we could fit everyone in and have plenty of room. They've got plans to expand and serve more types of food, so I can't wait to see what the future holds for this place. Hopefully they'll make their own beer in the future as well! I'll definitely be coming back. The here was a lovely setting, you had the choice of sitting inside or outside next to a pond. Food here was good, my wife enjoyed her burrata and, while I would prefer less cheese on a thin crust pizza, my Mount Etna was delicious. The crust was very, very, thin and extremely crispy. I had the Mount Vineyard Pale Ale and it was great, a perfect end to a very hot day! Although it’s a small boutique producer the are and worth the tour. The wire has a fantastic and plenty of places to just turn up and sit in the sun. Food is also tasty , they has a couple separate bars and plenty of tasty food options to pair with some wine. We enjoyed our afternoon at the Mount Vineyard. Even though the weather wasn’t great, the was still a success and under cover. The staff were really friendly, providing us with local recommendations.
