We love Veleka — it’s one of the most beautiful and visited beaches in Bulgaria, located right where the Veleka River flows into the Black Sea. This unique setting offers the chance to experience both salty and fresh water on the same beach. In the middle of the beach, there’s a local water sports rental spot where you can try windsurfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and other similar activities. Free parking is available nearby, making it easy to spend the whole day enjoying the area. Probably my favorite in Bulgaria. The calm river on one side, the waves on the other. You can rent an umbrella, deckchair or pouffe. You can take a dog. I hope to come back. Very with a lot of restaurants and the thing I find great about this is that there’s a river next to the so it creates a really trip. The sand is a bit hard, though but it dries off quickly so that’s nice. The water in the sea was comfortable to swim in; but the path to this was very slippery. Favorite in Bulgaria.
