But yeah, all men in their gear like they were going for war but are proper enthusiasts. 😅 That view was very overwhelming. So we signed our consent form. We got our outfit from the kit room. Got changed. They have lockers you can rent out. We then were gathered for briefing. Coaches were thorough. Too much excitement means my finger triggered the gun so fast. Allot money for the paintballs. 😁 it stings a little when you get hit. You might get a bruise after the swelling 😬 There were different playing fields and styles. It was really fun. Once I was inside the "battlefield" it was game face on and we were shooting like crazy. Important rules: To wear helmet at all times when going inside the field. Dont shoot anyone in the head. Have fun 😊 We had an incredible birthday party for my 15-year-old son! The venue was fantastic, with engaging activities that made the day truly special. Absolutely amazing day, staff/Marshals all very well briefed and attentive, food offering was great and the range of activities is awesome. Airsofting today and we will now be back as regulars after one visit only, pricing was very good too. My son and his friends celebrated his 12th birthday playing Airsoft. A really cool venue, surrounded by pine forest. There is a cafe with hot food and snacks and party pods for hire if the weather is bad. Short version: Great site, great staff, could do better, needs all-day bacon sandwiches. Long version: The good: Excellent facilities, well-stocked shop, excellent food, friendly staff, well-managed focus on player safety, acceptable prices. (Update: Also great to see massive reinvestment of our money back into the site. Despite my gripes, I have a lot of love for Driver Wood.) The bad: Very slow shop service, long queues, absence of sugar-free drinks. Player breaks are shortened when overrun briefings. The ugly: Over-complicated objectives, so much so that even the marshals don't understand them, causing players not to care about, or participate in, the objectives. Increasing loss of woodland in favour of open spaces. What A Day.. I drove over 200 miles from Exeter to Crawley to try Drivers Wood and I was not disappointed All the were great and the games were spot on. The maps were all full of props and military equipment. food was good and prices were very good. we will all be returning again as soon as we can Great place go.
