Visited today for the first with friends, and my 5-year-old loved it. Great big climbing frame, lots of seats and tables for adults. The food arrived super quick, and the coffee was good. They do a range of hot and cold food. lunch box with 5 items and a drink for £5.50. The place looked very clean along with the toilets. Lots of free parking. Staff are very pleasant and busy clearing tables. We had a brilliant here! Can't believe we haven't been here before. Highly recommend it. Look, firstly the kid had fun playing with other kids. It's a very safe environment. The food in the cafe is pretty standard as to what you'd expect in a cafe. Some staff were friendly some weren't but they all seemed effective at what they were there to do. Ok, now that's out of the way I'll say how I feel. We arrived at the car park early. DON'T do that. And certainly DON'T RING THE DOORBELL! Luckily I didn't make that mistake. They lock the whole place down in between the 90 minute sessions I assume to desanitise the whole place in case covid or some other fairly benign pathogens are hanging around. Afterall, spit, pick their noses, and are generally meat sacks full of nasties right? It would have been nice to be welcomed when you're early. It's also a missed opportunity for the cafe. Perhaps those that come early could browse some Treasure Chest merch. Instead the welcome wasn't there. Now my son doesn't care about such things and maybe I'm getting old (I am). It was an extremely regimented, full on process and rule based experience from the moment you park to the moment you leave. Just look at the photos of *some* of the regulations that are plastered everywhere - even the toilets. Some might like that. I found it over sanitised and wooden. I can only assume the owner has been mentally scarred by the pandemic. It would seem that Covid is alive and well still - and trying desperately to break into Treasure Chest. I even at one point wondered if I needed a face mask again - for the staff's safety! Still, having said all that, the only place I want to be sanitary, the toilet, was clean to the eye 👁️🚽👍 I won't be back with the family, it's not for us dirty grimy people really. To many though, it's popular and they return. Maybe I'm being unfair. Perhaps I'm just tired and it's affecting my judgement somewhat. I just hated the numerous rules and regs plastered everywhere. It felt more like a strict gym as a result. It felt just a bit odd. This is simply a review of my own experience though. I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time, and this isn't supposed to be a bad review either - I thought 3 stars was accurate. My son would give it 5. When he's old enough to have a Google account I'll ask him to start reviewing the places he wants me to take him to! Great indoor - so much to do and absolutely love it. Their birthday parties are amazing as well. We did our child’s 5th birthday there and attended a friend’s 6th birthday - both very well organised. My boys are 5 and 8 and they love it here. You do have to pay for the adult to sit and watch which I don't agree with but its for an hour and a half so not too bad. You can purchase food and drink there too Since you're not allowed to bring your own food, the standard of cooking needs to improve drastically. The beef burger was overcooked and the hot dog's bun was rock hard. One could deduce the machine had undergone a recent descaling procedure given the taste of the black americano.😔 Lovely place and lovely staff but I think the under 5s section should be fenced off. I brought my 2 year old son yesterday and the older kept coming into his area. Running up slides and pushing past him. I know there are signs up but the paid no attention to them. Also when I looked around, I saw the parents sitting down glued to their phones. Not watching their at all. To those parents looking at their phones, please pay attention to your before a child gets hurt. really enjoyed themselves. My 4 Yr old just ran riot, had a blast! My 2 Yr old loved playing on the lower levels..... there was so much for them to explore and enjoy. This was their first at a centre I'm sad to say but needless to say we're converted! There was a fantastic choice of food for the too.... and as we left a sticker each for the kids. Treasure Chest was recommended by a friend and I can't thank them enough! You have to book in advance (no walk-ins) during one of only 4 available slots (see screen shot) and sessions run for 90 minutes. Given this short window I was surprised at the cost: almost £27 for one adult and two children (ages 6 and 4). We went over the Easter break and it was only about 25% full, which doesn't surprise me given the business model. They have a strict no outside food or drink policy which means you have to pay more if the get hungry/thirsty, and they end up using the short 90 minute window on eating. I will say the space was clean and the staff were friendly. For those that are happy with the cost and slot model this is a good spot as it's quiet and clean. It’s a good - I really like that as a parent you can pretty much see the entire frame from your table/very secure so no way of them escaping! It’s bloody expensive though - £32 for 90mins of play. £10 of that is just adult tickets for me and my partner (to sit and watch the run around the we’ve already paid loads for them to go to….) Cafe is also expensive which puts me off ordering anything more than a bag of Pom Bears each for the kids, would consider having lunch etc while there if it was more reasonably priced Our party was outstanding from start to finish! Everything ran smoothly, it was well organised and I had no need to ask any questions all information was clearly given. The food was amazing and plenty of it to go round. The laser games were a perfect treat that not only the enjoyed but adults too. Our party host Arron; was confident, well mannered, attentive, with a bundle of energy and the ability to crowd control over excited 6 year olds. He also understood those with additional needs which was reassuring and so appreciated too! A job well done! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a party venue 🥳 Although my children had a good time, your prices are absolutely extortionate. You can go to bigger and better plays for less money. We spent over £70 on entry fee and lunch which was pretty basic. First coming and will not be returning. This is the cleanest I have ever been to. Our second visit and could fault it. The staff are so friendly and always have a smile.
