Nice walks and woodland , great place for dogs and kids. Easy to get to and parking. Near outwood windmill which is good to see . And a few pubs nearby . Harewoods National Trust, woodlands is a nice walk. There is a small car park through which you can follow the footpath. When we visited it is autumn and the leaves are falling. If it is wet make sure that you take wallies as the footpath is very muddy. Kids can enjoy the woods building den from fallen branches and wood. This is cosy and beautiful place for walking. However, some of the footpaths don't have enough signs so it might be hard to know where you are. Also, avoid rainy days because you might face muddy footpaths. There is a free parking with limited number of parking spaces which has a bumpy road. We couldn't find any toilets there. There is a Cricket field nearby which you go and enjoy if you want. Fantastic 10k round walk/hike/trail run that leads you around the Hardwood Estate through fields and woodlands. Beautiful woodlands peaceful and tranquil. Good for dog walks and family walking day out . There are plenty of trees to offer shade even if it’s a hot summer day . A on the wasp Green road nearby is also good to pass by beautiful countryside family homes . There are 3 pubs nearby to get something to eat . Overall a good place for a picnic and day out Went to the sunflower field weekend. 💛 was beautiful seeing all the sunflowers lined up, some young some old. Lots of butterflies & bees enjoying themselves. Great display for taking family photos & they had a maze made with the sunflowers to add a bit of fun for the young ones 😊 Admission (cash or card) is £6 for adults & free for children, but you get to cut 4 sunflowers (per adult) to take home. Additional ones may be purchased for an extra cost. We did the blue bell walk. It was breath taking absolutely stunning. We will be making this a regular for us and the family How do you get onto this ? There are very few sign posts . If it is N T land surely it should be easy to find and follow ???
