The moment we stepped onto the Felsenweg, we're greeted with stunning of Lucerne, framed by the majestic Swiss Alps. The is carved into the cliff face, providing an exhilarating yet safe walking experience. The vistas are breathtaking, with panoramic that stretch across the and towards the surrounding mountains. The contrast between the deep blue of the lake, the lush greenery, and the rugged cliffs creates a visual feast that is hard to match. The is well-maintained and relatively flat, making it suitable for all. The path is about 1km long and can be comfortably walked in under an hour, though you'll likely spend more time stopping to admire the and take photos. The trailhead can be reached via the Bürgenstock Resort, which is accessible by boat and funicular from Lucerne, adding to the overall experience. Nice hike to the lift! You can start from the resort. You need approx. 20 to 30 min to the Hammetschwand lift. From there you can either down or take the again. As I understood you can only go up by car to the resort or take train from Kehrsiten. Kehrsiten can be reached only via ship!!! Easy hike with very nice of the surrounding mountains and lake. The to reach the top was not working, though, and to go around takes a while. This is a good hike for beginners. There's some nice grill amd picnic spots along the way. A very adventurous trail. No cars are allowed unless they have special permission from the authorities. Biking or walking here is really cool. The view, the rocky cliff on one side, etc, makes it all adventourously memorable. I loved this and would definitely do it again. Very unique walking experience, wild nature and stop breathing This is a great place to visit with family ( including pets)or friends. It has beautiful along the hiking trails. Bürgenstock, situated on the shores of Lucerne, is a mountain/peninsula with an elevation of approximately 1,128 meters. While not exceptionally high, its northern side rises sharply from the lake, forming steep cliffs—creating a visually stunning panorama of the lake, the opposite shore, and the surrounding mountains. Bürgenstock boasts the famous Felsenweg cliffside trail, which follows the cliff face towards the lake—walking this is like walking through a painting of lake, mountain, and cliff. This is suitable for those who enjoy easy to moderate-intensity hiking—the entire route is approximately 5.3 km long, taking about 1 to 1.75 hours, with an ascent and descent of approximately 180 meters. The has safety features (such as railings/fences), making it suitable for most hikers, allowing even those less experienced in mountaineering to easily enjoy the magnificent and cliff views. vom Bürgenstock auf dem Felsenweg zum Bergrestaurant Hammetschwand in gut 1 1/2 Std.
