Perfect for a family or people starting with this sport. it was the place that determined me to start hiking. and still, to date (only a year later :) ) it's the most beautiful, breathtaking of them all (not that many, 6 other trails :) ). to put it into perspective, i never do the same trail twice, but I might break that rule for Caraiman peak. had my stay in Sinaia for 3 days. it rained a lot in the first two. not sure if I was able to make it, but the last day, woke up and the sun was greeting me with more confidence. :) drove the Transbucegi and arrived to the "Piatra Arsă" Cabin. nearly. :) the plan was to go to "Babele" and the "Sfinx". and we arrived there. somehow disappointed by the sight, we decided to go further, to the Caraiman Cross. remember, it's my first time on a mountain, i was expecting something spectacular. if you are with kids, that's your stop. but I wasn't (ignoring ourself :) ). the trail it's steep from the the "Sfinx" up, but manageable, with a lot of breaks. :) and we arrived, and I was for the first time in my life astonished. it's breathtaking. you'll be happy to be alive. it's like you've lived in a cellar for your entire life (35 years more exactly :) ) and one day somebody let's you out and you see the sunshine.
