Really nice in glorious surroundings. Plenty of parking, picnic tables, playpark, visitor centre and cafe. As well as cycle hire and miles of woodland paths. Tip: park for at Back Lane and 10minutes to the visitor centre/cafe/playpark. Their is numerous in all directions. Really wildlife including Muntjac deer, woodpeckers and herons. I also find the area towards bentley station and arboretum delightful Plenty of things for to do even on a wet, cold, winter day. Lots of equipment around the centre and the walks. Den building and rivers to paddle in. Clean, heated toilets. A well stocked plus lots of tables for DIY picnics. Fabulous 😍 . Well managed with lots of parking, facilities, and many activities on site for a variety of interests. Juniors have park and Gruffalo walk. Adults have walks, bikes etc..... worth a visit if in the area. is charged depending on duration. We go here to meet my daughter and grandson for a coffee and a walk. It has a nice coffee shop with reasonably priced food. There is a go ape here and a lovely with several areas. The reason I have scored it down is due to the ridiculous cost of here, we stayed for 2 hours but by the time we had queued to pay for the as it was really busy due to a fun run, we ran over by 1 minute which pushed us into the 3 hour so for 2 cars it was over £15, which is just a rip-off really. When my children were younger it was and you could take a picnic and easily spend a chunk of time there. Now due to the cost of I feel it prevents this. I absolutely agree with the charging for going here but feel it is a bit unreasonable. Quite a variety of things to do which cater for a wide age range of visitors. My grandchildren particularly enjoyed the areas, "marble runs" and with items to spot. Good, clean area with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. Lovely place with bike trails, playgrounds and a marble run trail. You have the option of Go Ape as well. Went here after every one seemed to be raving about how it was and to be honest I don’t see the attraction! The facilities are not the greatest, out of 3 cubicles in the toilets 2 were blocked! The carpark was extortionate, £13.50 for 4 hours. The area was pretty basic and the trial didn’t exactly cry out ‘play’ And I don’t recall seeing any bins anywhere! It’s not somewhere I’d rush back to in a hurry! This is a fantastic to explore. There are many you can take to enjoy the great outdoors. We loved The Gruffalo Trail seeing all the sculptures. It’s not a very long trail so perfect for little ones. We also tried disc golf for the first time which was fun, although we weren’t very at it. You throw a frisbee towards a chain net on a pole, 9 of those in total make up the course. Each one tells you how many throws you should aim to get it in. It’s £3.50 for each disc hire & you are given a score sheet & pencil to mark your progress. The was not open when we visited but they had a double decker bus selling hot drinks, cold drinks & food items to keep you going. Toilets on site. Very dog friendly. Go ape on also on site & areas for the kids. Will be back to try some other in the near future. Fantastic place to your dog (s). There are several different to follow they all differ in length and skill whether you are walking or cycling. Highly recommend the café you are able to take your dog in with you which is great if you're alone and in need of a coffee. There is even a dog washing station if needed. If you own a spaniel it is needed... There are benches and picnic tables dotted around if you're in need of a rest or love to have a picnic in beautiful surroundings. There's plenty to keep children happy with and adventures and amazing playgrounds. Definitely worth a visit you will find amazing things to do and learn. Great place to spend the weekend with kids. Make sure you grab a ball for the ball in a maze puzzle you're gonna find in every trail. is a bit expensive. Go ape inside the park is a nice one with net adventure for kids. were happy to grab the yo yo bear for (might be some promotion). There's no litter bin as the park is a litter bin one i guess. Overall a great experience!! Lots of different to go on. The trail equipment is more for over 5’s. A gruffalo trail with wooden statues. Marble run structures at different points £8 a ball. Another review said about using a tennis ball which we took but it bounced off some of them or was too light and got stuck on others, maybe a heavier ball like a snooker ball be better perhaps? If you’re going to spend the day then price isn’t too bad, but rather expensive for just a few hours. Dog friendly has dog water bowls and a shower. No bins so have to around with poo bags and take home! Lots of picnic tables, toilets by entrance More and more here to do every time i go which about twice a year. Lots of gruffalo hunting and really wooden cimbing obstical course feature things on the too. We went to try out the new accessible route , and wow what a fantastic surprise. There are now 2 "Trampers" which are like a cross between a mobility scooter and a quad bike. These are for hire to people who have mobility problems so they can wander around the pathways. What a brilliant idea. My son absolutely loved it. He said it made him feel so much more independent. Alice Holt have spent 100k improving the pathways to make it accessible for everyone, so even if you are unable to use a Tramper ( hand control needed like a motorbike) then it's still perfectly accessible with a wheelchair. Alice Holt is dog friendly, with plenty of parking. There are other activities such as various bike hires, playgrounds,a Gruffalo trail, and a cafe. Very helpful staff too. We had a fantastic family day !! It’s was hot day like 29-30 degrees. They have got plenty of tree shade. It was ok for 2hours bike trip! My little on is 2.5years , she loves the trip and all of ground. Specially, the marble run!! This is a great place. She absolutely loved it. Car 🅿️ price was 5hours for about £15! I think it is reasonable price (membership available car ) and the wooden marble is £8 I do recommend to buy one , if you have little one! They will love it 😍 we will come back !! Food smelled awesome but unfortunetly it didn't taste the didn't even eat the flapjacks and brownie!! Would not recommend the food but the was really nice, lots of available and it's entry. All the bins have been removed… Why would you take the bins away??? This beautiful is now becoming littered with rubbish from the cafe, picnics and dog waste because people aren’t able to dispose of it easily. Blame irresponsible people but is it not irresponsible to charge memberships, fees, provide a and food, provide picnic benches around the and not provide a means for people to dispose of their rubbish? People have given up and rubbish is scattered everywhere on tables outside, down the and around the one “forgotten” dog bin which now acts as a dumping ground for all rubbish. Please put the bins back and more of them before the weather returns, the volume of visitors increase and it gets so much worse 😢. A trolley sitting outside isn’t going to cut it peak season if it doesn’t in winter. Possibly my doggy’s favourite place to visit! Lovely to around, with small streams throughout which doggy loves to have a swim through! As there is a dog spa at the end, it doesn’t matter how filthy she gets, she doesn’t trash the car! The food at the is always tasty, plus very portions sizes at very affordable prices.
