Great afternoon out for my 12 old son on November 16th. Yes it isn't cheap, but neither is running a supercar. With 35 years in the motorsport industry and having been to a few and days I can honestly say it was the most smoothly run event I have been to. A sighting lap, and then 3 different and there was no massive wait. All of the instructors were good, but a special mention for James Harwich in the 720S. A final hot lap him in the Ariel Atom meant he had a day he will remember for the rest of his life. selection of to on track. Photos & video of available at extra cost. Burger van on site. Busy and well organised. Went to Safferon Walden site for my son's two car drive. Got there for 1230pm, it took over an hour in the cold to get through reception, nothing is sign posted. The were friendly, but the event is very disorganised, not enough admin or terminals at registration. It took two hour before for my son's second drive, just standing around in the cold waiting fir his nans to called, only to sit in another area and again. Only use Groupon if you plan to go and prepare to waste your entire day even if you are driving. 3 min after 6 hours waiting around is an endurance, plus never go in October. What a lovely morning! My 12 old son Drove a McLaren 570s and a GTR and had a high speed passenger ride and he really enjoyed himself. This is a slick operation, there are tons of staff, it seemed really well organised, we were signed in, first and fast passenger ride done within 30 minutes which was amazing! We paid another £25 for him to go in the GTR on the day which was an extra treat for him. I had seen some really bad reviews and I was worried before I arrived as to what we would encounter but I spoke with the lovely Rebecca before hand about a query and felt 100% better before arriving and rightly so because our was fantastic, swift, friendly and organised , we had the car we plus the option to purchase another car ride also. We used a Next voucher, so be aware that there are upgrade charges attached to certain cars. Also as stated on vouchers/ terms and conditions in emails for car chase heroes, there is an optional damage waiver fee of £25 , if you don't want to take this, a debit or credit card is needed in case of accidental damage to the cars, personally we paid it, because I wasn't going to be on the hook for thousands if anything had happened!! For our for our 12 old this was spot on. This is not a crazy super high speed if you are a speed freak, this was the one in Crawley RH17 6TH there are junior drivers age 11 and up so bear that in mind when making a booking, look the place up first to see the shape of the run, perfect for our though. There are upgrades/upsells available on the day, everything is optional and none of it is pressure sold, we did choose to treat our son to a 2nd car but we chose not to purchase photos or videos etc. Facilities were good, toilet block and parking on site. Burger van which saved the morning (a tad pricey but you don't have to buy if you don't want to! You can take your own!) We were not hanging around that long but they suggest camping chairs for if you do. All in all a great morning! This weekend I went to Stoneleigh for my 1975 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Experience. After having seen a lot of negative reviews I was quite nervous but went in with an open mind and I was pleasantly surprised. There are some hidden costs (£2 for Parking and £29 Damage Waiver) - If you don't pay the waiver they need a card with at least £5,000. Quite a few people were getting irate about it but I had already expected this from the reviews. The check in was very slick and worked very well, especially the queuing system. You can ask the calling out names to see how many people are in front of you. In hindsight it's a idea to bring a camping chair, but seating was available in the shade. My was 1 hour and a half, which I didn't mind because you have a view of the and the cars. My instructor was very friendly and although the car wasn't in the best condition, I was amazed that a 50 y/o Aston Martin was still running on one of the hottest days of the after taking repeated abuse on the track. I was expecting it to break down and have to go in something else but it ran fine. The instructor was very friendly and I was never held up by any other on the so I was able to really chuck it into the corners and get my foot down. It was an absolute blast on the track, even for an older car. There was cold drinks but I'd recommend you bring your own as it was £2.80 for a Coke. I'd definitely go again, it was a real treat. Did a very late booking for a 3 car package for my 11 old son at the Crawley adventure and had a brilliant time. We had done Abingdon with him earlier in the which we'd enjoyed, but it took hours as it was so busy. Today he did all 3 within 90 minutes and had the opportunity to do more. Brilliant fun, highly recommended. Very happy with the experience. We had a junior event by mistake, but thanks to the very helpful (Ryan- absolute legend) we were still allowed to enjoy our experience. All of the members were kind and helpful and a laugh too! The Atom laps were top notch! The price of the food and drinks was very decent for this type of event ( I see it mentioned in other reviews, coffee was NOT £5)! Would give 0 stars if possible. Absolute shambles of a setup with 0 organisation from anybody. Two gazebos set up for 100+ people waiting in the rain for hours for a 5 minute ride. Not to mention the abysmal welcome by Naomi when we first arrived who told us to in the rain and then proceeded to swear at us. One of the worst experiences of customer service I’ve ever seen in my life and baffled as to how this is even a running company. Wouldn’t recommend coming anywhere near it. This was bought as a present from my Kids, at Tockwith track. When checking in I was greeting by a lady telling me I had to pay for insurance or they would require card details for £5K if an accident was to occur, even if not may fault. On the website this was completely optional, although when being spoken to this did not feel the case and the lady was very pushy to get me to pay for it so felt as if I had no choice. After arriving to the pit lane, was told it wouldn’t be long but there was an hour for my chosen vehicle. I felt the whole supercar was to extract money from you. Cost of - gift Cost as weekend - £25 extra Cost of excess (irrespective how many you drove) - £29 I the Aston Martin DB5. This was a rickety (not sure if roadworthy) thing that had 1980s alloy wheels on and was an old Honda running gear (talk about Emperor's clothes). All very disappointing. And they make you take your right shoe off. I thought that driving without shoes is illegal? Will never use again. We arrived at the location where we were informed that we might not be able to the car we had and paid extra for, due to a curfew set at 4:00 PM! Fortunately, two people did not show up, allowing us to take the car we reserved. After our drive, we returned the SD card that had been provided to us for video footage. The wasn't prepared for us, so he asked us to briefly, which was fine. We handed him the bag containing the SD card and waited. When we were finally called over, he showed us the pictures and then asked if we wanted to see the video, which was what we primarily wanted to purchase. However, he couldn't find our SD card and realized it had been lost! The suspected he might have mistakenly given our videos to an elderly couple in front of us. So, after driving two hours, we were left without the video! They couldn’t offer us another opportunity to record because of the curfew, so we couldn't go back out. One was somewhat helpful, checking other SD cards on the table, and offered us the pictures for free (which weren't great, we took better ones with our phones). This really spoiled the entire for us. Came today for a of the Skyline and Dom's Charger at Wattisham Airfield. The was long, but expected on a busy day. The were very kind and accommodating. The organisation is nice, but using flimsy chairs on a rough, uneven road isn't a idea. (I almost fell over.) The and were very exciting. The instructors are clear and helpful. (Note: Charger is VERY hard to drive.) Doesn't seem to be any toilet facilities within immediate reach, and only food and drink supplier is an overpriced food van. Yes, prices are high but for an enjoyable day, it's totally worth it, especially for a Fast & Furious fan. Overall, great day and experience! Well organised but too many out on at same time so couldn’t get any speed , far too small which means laps over in next to no time and I unfortunately hit a small cone so only did 3 of my 4 laps. Not value for money. Fantastic day out for our 11 old son. We can't quite believe he had the chance to 4 super cars! The were very friendly and relaxed and made the whole day amazing for our son. He has made memories to last a lifetime. Would 100% recommend. 1960s BatMobile Experience Upon arrival i was asked to sign in. I was greeted with a of outlining that i would need to pay £29 insurance or give them my bank details and if there was any damage to the car, they would just take it out of my bank……..so agreed to pay the £29…..outrageous…i really hope people out there are not stupid enough to give them their bank details. I was then told the car that i booked….the 1960s batmobile was not available and that i would need to change cars…..whilst this wasn't ideal i changed to the Mustang Gt…or so i thought. The seemed more concerned about selling add ons and booking extra drives than actually helping you or even showing you where you need to go and stand or queue for your etc. After waiting for over an hour, one mentioned that if we scan the QR code on the card it will take you to a website where it will indicate where you are in the pecking order and waiting time. After i couldn't find my name on the website i asked a to help me. I then found out that i had been the rosche mustang not the GT as promised…..not the end of the world but still another mixup. Once i found my name it showed another 80 min minimum time. Once i saw this i was so annoyed i went to ask for a refund as the was not what i wanted due to the mixup and the original car not being available and i was not willing to another 80mins. I was told i couldn't have a refund and that the batmobile was now available with no time. I agreed to go and wait. After another half an hour i went to ask a if they were aware the batmobile was apparently back available as i could see the batmobile had clearly not been touched since i arrived that morning… the response i got was “i dont know you need to speak to someone else” and pointed to another member. When i eventually got i response of yes it is now available…(which they clearly weren't aware) and with no one in front of me in the queue i eventually got to the car i originally came for…. What a let down. The car had not been covered during the rain fall and was wet inside. But what is more concerning is how poor the state of the car was. Leather seats with lots of rips and tears. Bumps scratches. The bonnet was damaged and could see rust. Not the standard i was expecting.I would not recommend this to anyone. If you have kids who like batman and you are considering something like this…..do not take them here…DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. You will be disappointed. As i was… but I’m in my 30s and can get over it. I feel like i have been scammed for a 3 min drive! Overall - Expensive, no structure, no facilities, no co ordination and lack of customer service!
