Unmissable So beautiful and peaceful and the air is so pure, even though it was really hot it was very cool whilst walking through Fun and clean well maintained! Full immersion Wonderful place for a good hike. I started from the village of Ovindoli, simply selected the Sirente-Velino Regional Park on Google Maps and it gave me the hiking route already. I would say this is for medium skilled hikers considering the distance and steepness. Expect cows on the way, just walk around them, they are used to people but I am a city guy so I didn't came too close just to be sure. The nature is just amazing, great for photos or just looking at it. After the main roads from the village there were very little other people on the tracks. Don't be silly and bring enough water, some food and a jacket. The temperature and wind can be very different when you get higher. True to the park's logo "They protect nature and culture". One of the best regional parks in central Italy. Awesome place for hiking. Definitely worth visiting. Try trail 15 which runs from chalet Sirente to the top of the mountain (quite challenging but beautiful). A wonderful region with beautiful views, animal sightings and nearly complete loneliness. We had a lovely day here. The service was terrible. No sense of cleanliness, and the staff was careless and unprofessional. A complete waste of time and money.
